In 2009, rapper Eminem crossed over with Marvel's The Punisher for a comic to promote his album Relapse. In this video, Josh from Panels to Pixels digs the dirt on what might be the cringiest comic book ever published.

I actually have a physical copy of this comic. Legend has it Eminem himself was given a couple dozen of these that he later gave away to local comic shops.

If I was Eminem I'd be so puzzled why they chose to A.) Kill my friends/employees, B.) Not have me actually team up with The Punisher and C.) Have The Punisher leave me for dead. Why not make the comic about Eminem and Frank Castle teaming up to actually murder corrupt censorship organizations? It'd be shocking and in poor taste, but it'd be at least kinda funny and memorably insane, and totally on brand for Eminem.

The most cringe comic I have ever read was a deadpool crossover with Penn and Teller. Also written by them. It was so bad I actually through it in the garbage 🗑 (the only comic I have ever thrown out)

About then. Warzone was end of 08/beginning of 09. This comic was summer 2009.

It’s a turd of a comic, Eminem actually getting some licks in on The Punisher is ridiculous. Marshall couldn’t do a damn thing against Frank or Barracuda. Mouthy punk doesn’t have an iota of ability to lock horns with those guys.
