He wants his daughter to not mourn him or feel any pain that he's the source of when he is "gone," as in when he's dead. And that she should know that he'll be watching over her even when he's gone. I think it is relateable. And it will be even more relateable when he's actually gone.

I'm in my 20's too and this song make me cry each time I listen to it I'm a single mother for the past 5 years I have a child with brain damage my child doesnt speak and might not be able to have normal life like other kids... this song makes us realize that nothing lasts forever and that other things isnt important but family is... it should always come on first place we dont know how short life is I relate to this so much because Eminem is also seperated ... hes singing from hes experience which makes this song even more sadder....I would also destroy anyone or anything that harms my baby my child gets bullied So this song hits me deeply in my heart..

I always go back to this song. This shit literally saved my life. I was in rehab and struggling damn near abandoning my wife and son because I was struggling mentally. I always play this to remind myself that even when you fucking up you can always make that shit right with the right support system. My wife and son loved me like how I was before the problems. I wanted to end it all and this song really was there for me. I made a huge 360 in my life. I've been sober since going on 3 months now. I feel better than I ever had in my whole entire life.
