The series of fate, which has church to oversee the holy grail war, always starts with nobody or less people have summoned servant. But most people can endure it through the novel of fate zero and Fate strange fake. it is because we get introduced the characters one by one. Unlike FGO, no churches control the flow so, everything starts with war and fight as introduction, making the series longer than other holy grail war if it gets adaptation..... . i Mean, fujimaru happen to meet/summon servants just right when his life is about to get endangered. but that is not how holy grail war works in fate franchise

this is why i always preferred kirei vs kiritsugu over kirei vs shirou kirei and kiritsugu are basically same personality but one has things the other hopes to achieve and thats why they hate each other and their fight was legendary

Have you read the VN? Because the Heaven's feel movies basically butchered Shirou and Kotomine's dynamic. Kotomine and Shirou's dynamic is way above Kiritsugu and Kotomine's.

@@Yash-zy2qr i read and novel fight was much better because Kirei destroyed Shirou who managed to only hit him like 3 or 4 times Most badass moment in that route ngl especially with the ost being hype af But still prefer Kiritsugu and Kirei as rivals They hated each other despite never meeting

@@King_Of_Lolis They didn't actually hated each other. Kotomine was just thinking that Kiritsugu is an empty person like him and kiritsugu was cautious of Kotomine since he couldn't understand Kotomine's motives. There is not really much of a dynamic between them in Zero.

@@Yash-zy2qr yeah at first but then he got a bit jealous later thinking how can kiritsugu whos empty like him,be happy in life or have a purpose. Thats why he hated him. Kiritsugu was more afraid of him because he didnt much to live so he would try to take them both out if kirei can

But Kiritsugu and Kirei are not the same personality at all. The only similarities are surface level. Kiritsugu is at his core a good person who chose to lock away his good nature in order to preserve his sanity. His dream to become a hero of justice proves this. Kirei is fundamentally a broken man, a sociopath who revels in the suffering of others. This sociopathy develops into full on psychopathy towards the end of the 4th Grail War at the prompting of Gilgamesh.

It's the same reason why Batman is cautious of the Joker. You can't figure out his motives, so you can't figure out how he thinks. Predictable people move predictably. Unpredictable people move unpredictably. The unpredictable part is what made Kirei dangerous.

Interesting parallels with Kiritsugu Emiya and Eren Yeager are two tragic extremists who will kill anyone they must to achieve a good goal. What causes these parallels to intersect would Kiritsugu killing less to save more, even his own family (no he did not kill them, he was tested by the grail). Meanwhile, Eren would protect his own if it meant trampling on the rest of the world. Funny how that dawned on me.

You know, AoT's "asspull" of Eren controlling the titans at least had many of us fans on Isayama's behalf be like; "Hold up, let him cook." Because the man's writing by that point was excellent. Most of his writing was on point, so the fact that he desperately pulled that had us excuse him because we KNEW he would explain everything (even though that was a big WTF moment). THE ENDING OF ATTACK ON TITAN... We CAN'T excuse that. Just NO! Eren admitting that he was a big ass idiot (like the size of his titan for all I give a damn) may in fact show how parrallel he was to Reiner admitting his dumbassery over laying siege in onigashima, by we were foreshadowed WAAAAAAY ahead of that. Knew that his goals were going to be, and thus that information among many others were confirmed to be such. Eren... NO! JUST NO! Destroying 80% of the world because he's a BIG ASS IDIOT... I don't want AoT content ever again! Meanwhile Kiritsugu did what he did because there were bigger things at stake than himself and thought he was doing the world a favor. But nope! So... Yeah. Living in a twisted world like ours and theirs, they have all the power they have, we have all the "power" we have... And we just do it to waste more innocent lives. *Sigh* @@4zx_wtf

@@DJ2DARKUserON Yeah, overall Shirou is a better character because of the various developments of his character from different routes. Meanwhile here Kiritsugu had only one. It's kinda interesting if there's also different routes during the 4th Holy Grail War.

@@vertex6586Actually, there is a spin off called strange Fake that's an alternative future. Like The 4th Holy Grail War Ends differently in this universe. It takes place in USA(more specifically in a fictional city called Snowfield) in 2015. It has some elements from Fate prototype like an male Saber(Richard The lionheart) with an alternative Ayaka Sajyou. It Will Air in this Summer(2023).
