Ya'll complaining about the prices. I don't know who this Emma chick is, don't really care. But the stuff is made in CA... things manufactured in the US typically have a higher price tag because they actually pay the labor to their employees. It's considered more ethical. So you're going to pay more, regardless of what it is. You keep supporting the big manufacturers in China if you want your $2 tanks-if it makes you feel good knowing you got a deal and the worker barely got 5 cents for the week 😉

PazzaPotato they get paid dirt, and we aren’t trying to make them lose their jobs, i think what everyone who shops ethically wants is for big companies (like h&m, forever 21, zara etc.) who make a lot of money to actually give their workers fair payment and treatment. these workers are in very dangerous conditions, women getting assaulted all the time, and fires in the factories being a common occurrence. it’s not fair at all to these human beings to be treated like this, and for us to support it. i suggest you watch kristen leo, she has taught me a lot about this.

Ir almost seems like shes only promoting it because she likes Emma. The line is ridiculous, the cheapest clothing that can be, for a lot of money. It gets on my nervs.

It's obviously because Emma respects and loves the Environment, more than she does her bigger sized Subscribers, or being inclusive too everyone. Because sustainable, and Ethically made cloths, do cost a lot more too make, than even most high end products

Love you Mia and liked the vid, but maybe you have mentioned the whole drama with the clothes being pixelized in its initial launch. Just thought people should know about that.
@tummyhertz5 жыл бұрын
Runner Life yeah so basically when Emma first released High Key she blurred out all the images of the clothes I guess to be a “surprise”, but no one knew what they were buying and were mad. Also the prices were a bit much (they seem to discounted and obviously the pictures aren’t pixelated anymore) and they only came in one size, so the combination of all this pissed a lot of people off.

You understand that Dote is owned and operated by adults with college degrees who made all the decisions except the designs, and the deal was made when she was 16. Now she is repped by UTA and her own line at shopemmachamberlain.com is size inclusive.
@elisesmith24485 жыл бұрын
Ed Murrow the link you just shared with us doesn’t even have any merch on it. Also the fact that it’s ran by adults makes it even worse. And why does it matter that they have college degrees? I’m an adult with a college degree and I definitely wouldn’t promote let alone run a one size clothing line.
@edmurrow30395 жыл бұрын
@@elisesmith2448 All the first run of Emma's merch, which she designed, on her own site sold out in the first few days and then again just before Christmas and they are re-stocking soon. I point out the decisions related to marketing, pricing, and manufacturing of the soft launch Low Key by Emma that turned into the main launch High Key by Emma were made by adults yet everyone blamed Emma, who was 16 when the these decisions were drawn up. She didn't even have a management team yet, but it was Emma herself who got all the hate from drama channels and jealous teen girls about these decisions.
@elisesmith24485 жыл бұрын
Ed Murrow the hate isn’t from jealousy first of all, and second it doesn’t matter who made the initial decisions because it was HER line. She could’ve said no, she could’ve went somewhere else to launch her line, she could’ve made other suggestions, but she didn’t. That’s why she gets the hate. She made no attempt to make the line all inclusive. And don’t try to say “well she was 16” because if you’re smart enough to start this whole branding and a huge following on your own, your smart enough to stand up for your own shit.
