Congratulations Peter! You have actually inspired many people from many continents!! I’m in USA, and I’m going to do a front sub in a Mustang, not sure how yet, but it will happen. Was an installer in 1980’s, installation is definitely key!

Hi Peter and congrats to you and all of pssound team. I’m the guy who won the e3000 class with Chevrolet Malibu. I’m from Finland, not Sweden😂 It was nice to chat with you at the party and glad you had time to listen my car. And thank’s for your kind words and honest opinions about my car, it was a blast!🙌🏻

I have watched the entire video and it felt like 15 minutes. We share the same passion I guess. Congrats on the results, but more importantly on sharing your passion with so many people. Demonstrating your car. Showing how to do the best possible installs. The world sounds better thanks to you Pete

Listening to the s class changed my perspective of what is possible, as you said in the video, the front end kick with no rear sub is phenomenal. Everyone should dream to have a system like the s class one day

I'm glad you mentioned how technicals can affect the other aspects of the sound. Our org (MASQ) has more detailed technicals and I tell a lot of newer competitors that if they glaring problems with those it will cascade throughout the sheet. in our case it isn't as simple as LC or RC being slightly out of place, that'll rarely cause scoring issues outside of those two categories, but if there are bigger issues, like center is half the car wide or LC is barely distinguishable from L, yeah that'll cascade quite a bit. I am often surprised at how many competitors don't pay enough attention to some of these fundamentals and then wonder why they aren't in the top 3 or so. oh, and trucks, lol, yes. The seemingly overwhelming issues I find judging trucks is that pillar is like 6" inboard of the side glass, which usually hurts width scores.

Not to take anything away from Eddie's second place, he's car is absolutely amazing with the gear he has, but the guy that won in that class, i understood he had mid bass in the doors, with no enclosure, just factory location.

And on EMMA it may score okay, BUT, there is a but! If that’s how you want to have a system based on purely EMMA results, then go for it! EMMA is only played at 85dB level. That won’t give you a realistic performance of real life listening on different genres! Play an electronic song, hip-hop, techno, house, rock, a live blues band or just an orchestra at realistic levels! That’s where 80% of systems which “score well” fall apart! That’s where we are not shy of demoing any genre at any level. That’s why we have people flying to these events to experience our systems! That’s why we have people queuing up for hours, some even for days to experience something different, that not many cars can offer globally! One day you should come to one of our meetings and get a demo. 😉🔊🔊

Hi Peter, congrats on PS Sounds succes in Salzburg. Just a little question: You mentioned that Eddie put the Alliante as a front woofer. I also got an Alliante and a Focal 10WM. In the same application, what would you prefer. Are there any benefits over the other one?
@pssound9749
@pssound9749 3 ай бұрын
Both accurate subs. For front sub duty you don’t need a 12” though, gives you no benefit as you can’t play below 35Hz well enough anyway, so a 10” is easier to fit.

@@pssound9749 Thanks Peter for your reply! Main thing is that the Aliante is so shallow and plays so beautiful in little closed enclosures effortlessly. But the Focal is also a beautiful sounding sub. It compensates the cone area in excursion.

Cool video, congratulations! A “conceptual doubt”... Will the most advanced speaker from a brand always have a greater probability of being able to play all existing musical genres well? Asked another way... If I take the most advanced high-end speaker from any brand (Focal or Morel or Brax or Blam or Audison etc.) that speaker, because it has a much higher quality, will tend to achieve play “any” musical genre more satisfactorily? Generally a speaker that is good for playing Hip Hop is not good for playing Jazz. But with technological advances, is there a speaker that is so advanced that it plays “any musical genre” well? Does this speaker already exist or remains a utopia?
@pssound9749
@pssound9749 2 ай бұрын
First of all there is no such thing as one speaker plays a genre better than another. You have to think first beyond “just speakers”. You have to look at the whole system, the whole layout of the speaker installation in a car. Sub bass & bass performance in a car are most dependent on speaker location & application. Even the “most accurate” speaker can perform poorly or a cheap speaker can perform amazingly. Midrange accuracy is all down to integration to lower and higher octaves. Find a low distortion speaker that play the range required to integrate to the rest of the speakers, tune it right and that’s it. If you watched this video all the way, then you can see that some of these cars had pretty affordable midrange speakers. Tweeters are the sensitive area for me. Installation (location and aiming) and tuning are very important of course, but what comes out of the tweeter to start with is super important! If the resolution and detail is not there, you can’t just fix it up by some tuning magic. 🪄 If you want “high-end” experience, you really want to focus on getting the right tweeter for sure.

Thanks for answering. I completely understand your considerations and you are right: the final result of the project does not just depend on the speakers, it also depends on the assembly of all the equipment and the final adjustment. But I have a technical question, if you could help me I would be grateful... The 2-way kit “S165M2mg” from Blam (Signature Multix line) contains: (1) a woofer (WS6) that reproduces frequencies of 80 Hz ÷ 6 kHz and (2) a tweeter (TSM 25 Mg 70) that reproduces frequencies from 1.18 Khz ÷ 43 KHz. The 2-way kit “TH K2 II A CORO” from Audison (Thesis line) contains: (1) a woofer (TH 6.5 II sax) that reproduces frequencies of 40 ÷ 4.5 kHz and (2) a tweeter (TSM 25 Mg 70 ) which reproduces frequencies of 800 ÷ 26 kHz. Just looking at these technical data of the two kits mentioned, is it possible to say which one will, for example, be more likely to reproduce acoustic or instrumental music better? Note: considering the hypothetical scenario in which the two kits mentioned were installed in the same car (at different times, of course) and that the entire rest of the system (amplifiers, DSP, frequency cuts, time alignment, etc.) were correctly sized, installed and adjusted.
