Emma looks stronger now than she ever did before. This year will tell us if her injury woes are already a thing of the past. Hope that's the case because women's tennis needs Emma Raducanu being able to compete with the top players on tour.

You're exactly right. This match will be a yardstick on where Emma Raducanu's level is at on her comeback. But diehard Iga fans should not be too confident because Emma has the tools to beat Iga.

Iga, is of course, the best clay court player in the world. However, aside from being more fit and less prone to injuries than Emma, I think Emma has the game that will give Iga problems particularly on her forehand. The key to beating Iga has always been taking time away from her forehand, that's why Iga has a lot of trouble vs Noskova and Rybakina. I could be wrong but I think Emma will beat Iga this time. Not taking sides here, I am a fan of both players.

Iga will be rightfully the favorite tomorrow. But I'm not so sure Iga will beat Emma. Even if Iga wins it will be a close match.

Emma is quite capable of playing well enough to make Iga think she has been in a difficult match.

@@johndeagle4389 That's a very possible scenario given how tough it is to beat iga in Stuttgart. But I can also see a scenario where Emma can attack Iga's forehand and cause Iga to make a lot of errors from that wing which will be key to beating Iga. If Noskova is able to cause Iga a lot of trouble, I don't see why Emma can't, especially since Emma is a much better returner than Noskova and Emma is also a lot stronger mentally than Noskova.

Emma is certainly playing at a high level now but she can still improve her serve. We'll see at what level she is when she plays Iga in the quaterfinals. If she can beat Iga, she can beat anybody and win this tournament.

She can obviously improve her first serve and her shot selection and most of all her fitness, but imho, she has at the moment, the game to beat Iga. I could be wrong, but this is why this match with Iga is so interesting. This will tell us where Emma is as far as her level is. Iga is the best on clay, so who to best measure it with than with her?
