My thing is Ellie is a KID! Everyone had a wild teenage stage trying to get through life and deal with hormones and school stuff so yeah sometimes she’s bratty but who cares let her be a kid. as a 14 year old everything you said about ellie 8:17 is extremely relatable and tbh i thought it was just me and im just an awful child the way i talk to people but knowing it isn’t just me can make people realize its just our age or maybe take into consideration kids and teenagers can deal with and go through things that aren’t necessarily good. a lot of kids go through just as much as adults do emotion and mental health wise

I can honestly say their bond will only get stronger, they’re at different stages in life! But please keep pushing them to always respect each other and never put them against each other. She didn’t do the same with us and I can say our bond will always be strong. Trust me as someone who grew up like Ellie and now is 25 years old, everyone still thinks i’m monotone and “lack emotion”. I just learned to just have friends that know me and everyone i’m friends with knows the true me and can always rely on me because I will always go at bat for everyone! We are tough, care about our circle of friends, and stand up for ourselves! Don’t worry ellie, be yourself and keep doing you. I also struggled in school with grades but had so many friends and now I am a mother of 2 beautiful sons and married and in school for my bachelors now!

My daughter is 14 almost 15 and is sassy , moody, tired etc ! she debates me on everything but it comes with age. At the end of the day she’s still a great kid who is top 9 in her grade , she’s a dancer, and in the school musical. I see the loving side of her but also understand and can relate the anxiety kids at that age have and how moods can change. My son just turned 13 and is quiet and sweet and always smiling. He has a small friend group, plays football but mostly locks himself in his room playing xbox all day. I get commenTs all the time about how I have to take his games off him so he can be more social! Why? He gets great grades and stays out of trouble.. times have changed! Kids aren’t playing hide and seek outside anymore.. I guess my point is as people always have something to say but as long as you know your kids are fine everyone else can kick rocks!

I'm proud of Ellie for openly wanting to pursue a career path that she's interested in and/or passionate about, rather than sticking with something solely because it may be more lucrative. You can tell she wants to chase a future that's fulfilling and meaningful to her own personal interests. Maybe one day she'll decide that social media is the right choice for her, but she's so young and has all the time in the world to dream big and figure out what suits her best.

When I was 14, I was exactly like Ellie. I wouldn’t say we don’t care, but we don’t make it the #1 priority. Being in highschool is confusing for a lot of people. Especially with how standards are for teenage girls today. We care about our friends the most because they relate more than our parents or family would since her friends are going through this area of time with her. I also used to get made fun of for yawning constantly it was an anxiety tick that i literally couldnt control. I had done it for years im not sure if she struggles with anxiety but could be that.

I have raised 2 boys and kids will be kids. Ellie is a kid and she is a typical teenager with an attitude which is 100% being a kid. My boys still don’t don’t get along 24/7. But they are the best of friends.

I know this different but still a sibling situation: My husband and his younger brother were probably the same age difference. They fought so much! It wasn’t until my husband moved out to college that they really realized how close they were. Now they are very close! We ended being a witness to their wedding (they eloped) and when his wife got pregnant my husband was the first person his brother told. All this to say, I’m sure Emma and Ellie are close but I bet they will get even closer once Emma moves out.

This is wild. It took me some time but watching the kids grow up on KZfaq I understand Ellies personality vs emmas. Very different kids, but all kids are different! Im curious though on how Ellie speaks to her teachers in school? I know she has amazing grades too, just curious if she changes when speaking to teachers lol the teachers always terrified me.

To be fair lol when Emma was answering the questions about if you parent her and Ellie the same, I think it’s definitely more common for the younger kids to not really have as many rules or get things earlier than the older ones did like cell phones . At least in my family my younger brother is like that lol🤣 But that is super common and not really a big problem because over time things change !

I think it’s funny that some people don’t understand having a family where yall are sarcastic and play around. I have my own family and I have kids under the age of 10 but they fuss and fight it’s a sibling thing! Like me growing up imagine having a sister who always threatens to do something to you if you don’t do what she says. Emma and Ellie aren’t like that. They have fun and love each other unconditionally. If Emma wants Ellie to go with her and Ellie says no then Emma is like okay cool no problem. Emma understands Ellie is a teen and has friends that she wants to hang out with. But Emma understands that! Some of the people who wants to bash this family is ridiculous. Although i see how Ellie is still young and a teen.. how she speaks towards her friends or sister Is one thing. However, She does need to fix her tone especially when talking to her parents, No excuse. You can take her phone away if she raises her voice, no friends over, take her out of activities, she loves fast food so take away that and be strict on that. That IS something she can work on. Being rude is not cute and a reflection on the parents. This is taught at home, No sir, yes sir, no ma'am, yes ma'am. Respect is earned and when she raises her voice towards her parents especially, It shows lack of discipline and respect. Again, you show only a portion of your life however us as viewers point out what maybe you dont see from an outside perspective. Most are haters but some who actually are followers are just pointing out traits you may not see from an outside view. There has been times, Ellie has been in the car with a friend and she rudely talks back to Heather and Mark is driving and Neither dont say a word and go do the fun stuff yall were going to do rather thats ice cream, eating where they want to eat etc but at that moment. Mark as a father shouldve pulled over and corrected Ellie's behavior towards Heather. " You will not respond to your mother this way, if it happens again with this tone of voice towards your mother, We will turn around and go home and Your friend will have to go home, Do you understand me" Very stern and to the point, Ellie is a puppy and puppies need guidance, She talks that way bc she knows yall will let her, Rude tone towards a parent is disrespectful and needs to be corrected. Parents are not friends, We are parents first. This is not a trait you want her to have because she will in the real world meet someone who wont take that tone shit. Im hoping its a phase she will outgrow but Heather please do better and Mark step up as the man of the house.

I turn 21 in February and my little sister just turned 17 and we are totally different. I am Emma to a T!!! And my sister is honestly worse than Ellie😂she doesn’t care about anyone or anything that anyone has to say to about her, she has a million friends and only cares about hanging out with her friends. I was the same way as Emma in high school I always had good grades, I played softball and never ever got in trouble. I’m super outgoing and bubbly and my sister is just not that way and that’s okay!!!!! We are different and that is fine!!!
