In this video I sort out my scrap fabrics to use really small pieces to make a pincushion. I use lots of hand sewing techniques including English paper piecing.
Here are some basic dimensions and numbers for the project. It is very scrappy and I created it in a very free way so I don't have exact fabric requirements but hopefully these dimensions will help.
19 x 3/8" hexiform hexagons (hexiform is left in, if you use paper remember to remove them before the appliqué stage)

4" linen circle backed with 4" circle of wadding for the top of the pincushion
4" hexiform circle for the base. 4 1/2" linen circle for the base
14" x 1 3/4" piece of hexiform for the sides of the pincushion
Cut scraps that are 2" wide for the ruffle. I varied the length of these to give a scrappy look. I made my ruffle approximately twice the circumference of the circle and gathered them up to fit.

I hope you like making it if you give it a go.
