Emmanuelle est en quête d’un plaisir perdu. Elle s’envole seule à Hong Kong, pour un voyage professionnel. Dans cette ville-monde sensuelle, elle multiplie les expériences et fait la rencontre de Kei, un homme qui ne cesse de lui échapper.
Avec ce film, Audrey Diwan nous livre une libre adaptation du roman d’Emmanuelle Arsan et pose un regard féminin sur la quête intime de celle dont le prénom évoque encore aujourd’hui l’un des personnages les plus sulfureux du cinéma.

Just watched Audrey Diwan's previous film Happening and it was a masterpiece. Let's hope this one is just as good.

The original Emmanuelle was successful movie not because of the good story or directing or acting, but because of the charismatic attractiveness of the Sylvia Kristel. Soooo good luck with the remake.

J’imagine que c’est parce que le film ne ce déroule pas en France et que pas tout le monde parle français dans le pays (Vietnam je crois) ou ce déroule le film Après il y aura sûrement une vf

Vous avez raison. Le français est une des plus belle langue du monde. De plus une langue internationale via la Francophonie. Visiblement Audrey Diwan préfère la langue du Brexit.

Ceux qui ont lu le livre (un livre fondateur, précurseur de la révolution sexuelle) savent que c'est simplement inadaptable, surtout à notre époque. Ce sera donc une ré-interprétation. il y a peut-être de belles idées (mais on sent ici l'influence de l'édulcoré 50 shades) Attendons.

Je viens de voir la B.A ,l'actrice est Quelquonque, on est beaucoup plus dans le côté sensuelle que erotique à part si la B.A est expressément soft pour tout voir au cinéma. Le film est réalisé en anglais. Dans tout les cas.....j'ai pas accroché. Je dirais même mieux, tout ça pour ça !!
