thank you so much for this oh my god this is a blessing i never really was the type of person who was able to just like come up with ocs as a kid in my early art years and now im writing my own story and getting violently addicted to it but i have literally no idea how to visualize my characters so thank you so so so much for this i dont have the words to express how much this helped it all click in my brain

The huntress widow is also very cool, she looks unhinged and threatening in a right way for an antagonist, so I think you've achieved the goal!

I have an idea!! What if Alex's reaction to the talking bunny is to try to hunt and taxidermy meme? But like,, she fails miserably each time like willie e coyote or something... or tries to make her own 'meme' using random animal parts and it's kinda fucked up but meme falls in love with it and calls it his 'madame' (ma'am for short so they're like "meme and ma'am"!!)

The character model without an outfit is such a good idea i never thought of that i making one right now It also is something that works so well for my ocs because many of them either have tattoos or skin details like acne, freckles, vitiligo or (acne) scars

I haven’t started illustrations, BUT I did write the entire plot of my story thanks to you. SO OBVIOUSLY YOURE REALLY GOOD AT THIS KZfaq THING.

I HAVE.. AN IDEA!!!: Okay, so, I really like pausing when you show your finished art work and pausing when you add small notes on the side of your drawings. While you were drawing Alex, I noticed the idea of her backstabbing Spencer for that book. I have no idea why but I really though that was a neat-o thought and it just add a lot of lore to the story these characters have and/or already add to the lore of the plot. It randomly reminded me of when in shows, movies, and comics, there is a villain who is working for someone much greater (aka a bigger, badder, more cold villain). And once that greater villain gets what they want or the sidekick is of no use to them anymore, they basically throw them away or toss them aside. Then that sidekick has a change of heart and decides to join the protagonist/hero. So basically what I’m saying, what if that’s what happened with Spencer and Alex? I don’t like saying you have to make Spencer the opposite of what he is, but I’d like to say that he would realize following Alex getting the book would be wrong. Or he figures out Alex is just using him for her own gain because.. gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss 💋! He could continue to be the nerdy, weird, obsessive person he is, but he would see Alex is just.. nuh-uh. I’d like to see Alex be one of the antagonists, along with Father Simone (idk if I’m spelling that right). And if Spencer had a “change of heart”, I know the Time Travelers gang wouldn’t trust him much so.. DRAMA✨! Of course if you already have an idea of what your going to do, I don’t think you should change it because of my little suggestion! I’d love to see what you do with your OC’s and I’d roll with anything you do! You really inspire me because I’m not a very very good artist, and seeing your art gives this younger artist a bajillion ideas! :>

this was such a fun video!! i don’t know a lot about your time travel universe because i’ve only just discovered you; but what if the reason spencer is transported to the 1900s is because it was the last thing he read about? like maybe jane was doing a report on the 1800s, etc. this could work reversed too, if the older characters were reading hypothetical works on “what is the 20th century like” etc. i just thought i’d throw it out there because hearing you talk about it inspired me! thanks for making such a lovely video ❤

I haven't even started the video yet but I just wanted to say that I'm a writer who can't draw to save a life. A lot of times I get to see how artists make their ocs, and it makes me super excited because I can only picture mine and try to piece together some words to make their features coherent. And idk It just gives me indescribable amounts of joy to see other people's characters 🥰

Funnily enough I have a character that I split in half into two characters. The first character I was able to design with ease while the other one kinda got left behind. I'm so glad I found this video to help me fully recognize that other character!
