@Roxie Rocks Exactly! ON The US Soap Opera Guiding Light Carmen Santos never accepted the fact that her Son Miguel aka "Mick" could be violent with Young Ladies. He also was a heavy gambler, drinker and drug taker. She acted like that because if she hadn't trapped her Husband Miguel with him, she wouldn't have had the status she had as the Wife of a Mobster. In 2006 the show did a similar storyline with a Flashback Scene where Jeffrey O'Neil finally realizes that what he thoguht was a one night stand was indeed a rape. He knew deep down he was "guilty" and even though a Guard at a Party knew what he did, he kept it quiet but he owned Jeffrey like a Puppet. All he had to do was mess up one time and his privileged lifestyle would be taken away from him including a Role as a "Prince" although he was his Doppelganger.
