Oh my god I flipped out when she ate the tomato with the spaghetti in it, because I forgot it was spaghetti and thought it was a tooth pick and I was all "EMMY NO OH MY GOD." then I felt silly. XD

I used the grape tomato heart trick but on red grapes and cut strawberries in to hearts and I used toothpicks to hold them together thank you Emmy for the trick for my second bento box lunch

As a chef I love the ingenuity behind these bento boxes! Such a great way to get kids to eat healthy lunches and enjoy it at the same time, utterly brilliant! I will definitely be making stuff like this for my kids when I have some! lol

Okay, so I have an idea: Take like a big flower shaped cookiecutter sort of thingie, add a layer of pink rice, smush it against the corners. Add filling. Cover with rice. Leave an egg yolk shaped indent in rice. Place cooked egg yolk. Decorate with flower sprinkles. Place on bed of microgreens.

Melissa Gillan it's an art form! They even have classes so alll the moms know how to make it. You won't find ham and cheese sandwiches or Mac N Cheese in their lunch boxes every one eats rice!

The little bento boxes are so cute! I have been seeing a lot of them on Snapee and I love their combination of functionality, creativity, environmental responsibility, adorableness and, lest we forget, portion control LOL Always good :D It's the first time I have seen one put together :) So cool and easy! Emmy, another way to make a quail egg chick is: when you are going to score the whites, you could score is in a zigzag motion so it looks like is was cracked. I made my mom some bento, and I couldn't resist doing the cherrie tomato hearts.😉☺😝

Bento boxes are so much more interesting than the traditional American sack lunches, which are often as boring as the brown bags they come in. I am not sure what happened since lunch boxes used to be really popular, especially for kids. Though launch boxes were never all that popular with teens and adults.

So cute! If the only thing I can do is the tomatoes, that is what I'll do! I am going to look for everything else cause this is a lunch to look forward to. Debs... who eats bento every day for lunch at school (I am a teacher at a private school and encourage students and parents to think outside of costco).

sorry for old comments on old vids, but I always wonder how people keep the nori so nice and crispy? when I buy those seaweed sheets they are realy crispy and do not bend withouth breaking. so I gotta put some water on them to make them soft and wrapable, but then they are just soft and don't get crispy anymore. they still taste good, and I make easy and cheap onigiri like balls with them sometimes, but its nice to have them crispy, it adds to the experience imo.
