This episode also clearly shows how the inhibitor chips altered the clones thinking, even basic self-preservation instincts. They completely ignored the fact that they are in a ship on a collision course with a planet, their sole focus was to kill their Order 66 targets. Also I can imagine that poor Ahsoka having serious survivor's guilt after this, her actions eventually resulted the escape of Maul and the deaths of all the clones on board (except for Rex). Although I'm sure they would wanted her to fight for her life and not let this evil plan to be successful (at least in her case).

Jebalita BattleBush It was in a canon comic book. Forgot the name. Basically, the short of it is, he learned of Order 66 and Sidious had him kidnapped and put into suspended animation by the CIS. The CIS ship he was on somehow wound up stranded on a planet while he was in suspended animation. Some pirates found him while trying to salvage old war tech 50 years later and he ended up joining their crew. I think there was more to it, but I haven't read it in over a year, and I wasn't too interested in it.

@@comradekenobi8146 Yeah I'm not one to hate on the sequal era or anything. But I really don't like how they treated Kix in the comic. For just a few panels in the comic they go over Order 66 and the destruction of the republic, and then they just go 'okey you are part of the crew now lets go on space adventures!' No real emotional connection to what is basically a living relic of the Clone Wars who probably blames himself for Order 66 (Not being able to warn the republic about it). It feels like they shoehorned him in as a gimmic to appeal to prequel fans, and then instantly ignoring it after that.

@Samuel Bishop Actually, the gap from TCW to Rebels is 15 years, and Rogue One/A New Hope is 4 years after that, 19 years after The Clone Wars/Revenge of the Sith. 30 years is way off. It also makes sense that it took so long as how vast the galaxy is, and they could have crashed anywhere, thanks to Maul. The fact that Vader/Empire eventually found it is impressive.

7:50 The fate of the Clones is very heartbreaking. They were saddened when she left the order after her being accused of a crime she never committed, then painted their helmets to match her when she came back to show there respect for her, then her being forced to fight them because they were programmed to do so, she never wanted to harm them, she still saw them as her friends as well as her family to a certain extent despite them trying to kill her. Burring them was very sad and heartbreaking...saying goodbye to the family she fought alongside for years as well as to the republic. Like Ahsoka said: “the republic couldn’t have asked for better soldiers” and we shall never see the likes of them again. The mission...the nightmares...their...finally...over. Honestly today's episode was very tragic yet the ending was fitting. Vader coming and finding Ahsoka's cruiser showed he still had the light inside him. Clone Wars shall forever be the best part of the star wars saga. RIP soldiers, brothers 2008-2020

I like the little touch at the end where Vader looks up into the sky, and you can see he's eyes behind the usually blacked out lens. You have to wonder what was going through his mind and was he holding back he's emotions, when he picked up her lightsaber.

When the camera focus on Jesse's helmet at the end, it symbolizes the end of the republic being his helmet has the Republic logo on it and the death of Jesse. Jesse didn't die for the Republic, he died with it.

I love your reaction and ever other reactors reaction to these last four episodes. I'm 42 and was such a big fan of Star Wars growing up and when the prequels came out it was a very big thing for us, and I got to share the prequels with my nephew when he was younger. Back then I would speculate and head cannon every aspect of the prequel trilogy. I remember how people back then would pick apart the flaws in the movie but I always saw the potential in the story and had expectations of where I wanted the story to go and I must say that this series exceeded my expectations.

I enjoyed your reaction to this episode. Here is something to think about. In Ep5 of the Ahsoka series, during Ahsoka's World Between Worlds vision at the Siege of Mandalore, Anakin tells Ahsoka "Within you will be all the knowledge I possess". Taking this into account, Ahsoka knew the force power of psychometry, an ability taught to her by Anakin. Now, when Vader finds Ahsoka's saber at the crash site of the Tribunal, he would no doubt have been able to see everything that happened there in vivid detail. He knew that she survived, and that she had left the saber for him to find as a symbol of her turning the page and leaving the past behind. Such a gut wrenching and emotional episode. I miss Clone Wars; the finale was epic.

The pathos of the sequence with Vader is even greater when you consider that he has already lost everyone and everything else in his life that mattered to him - Padme, his friendship with Obiwan, his connection to the philosophy of the Jedi - and Ashoka was the last link back to his Anakin persona, what he believes at this point in his journey is the last breath of humanity left to him, and so far as he knows she is dead, and with her death there is no way back left to him. The Dark Side and Sidious are all he has, and it will be almost two decades before he discovers that Ashoka actually survived, by which point he has walked the path of the Sith for so long he dens't think it is possible to change, and so he feels compelled to fight and try to kill her. If she had remained in the Jedi Order, if she has been with him at the battle for Coruscant and all that followed, might things have been different? As much as the crashed Republic Cruiser and broken Clone Trooper gear symbolises the death of the Republic as it is supplanted by the Empire, it also represents the death of the Anakin's former identity as he takes the final step toward becoming Darth Vader irrevocably, at least until Luke comes on the scene.
