I think if they show they want to be there it will change their mind. I think they see it as some kind of test of their dedication.

Meredith was an actual dancer but her style initially was not DCC. That is to be expected...she needed time to adapt to being in a different atmosphere. Just because someone is really attractive does not preclude them from being a great performer. She was an overall good dancer AND she was beautiful, so of course bring on the catty comments. She could not have made the team if she couldn't do the dances - Kelli is not going to go to that length for anyone and humiliate herself. I think there is a lot we don't get to see on this CMT reality show. It's highly edited to show the "juicy" bits - mistakes and misses and failures. We're not seeing everything.

I know shaina personally and she is my dance coach. She has made me a better dance every time I see her! She is awesome! I’m also super upset about her not making it. Especially that summer was so hard for her with the helicopter crash her best friend was in.

When Kelly called her name to come to the office, she smiled. But as soon as she stood up, and Kelly wasn’t watching, she looked so mad. I understand concerned or even scared, but girl was angry. I think they dodged a bullet with that one.

Only thing I can say is they have said that it’s them fully believing they can do it. It’s them showing hope they can make it. But sometimes… it just doesn’t work out

She only cares about what the show can bring for her. She along with Charlotte will bring back a veteran to TC in order for drama and ratings aka have a veteran to call into the office or to cut during TC. If she does not like you, she will find a way to get rid of you. She will bring a girl onto the squad even if the girl is not the overall DCC in order to have someone to cut at Finals the following year aka ratings and drama. She has her favorites who can get away with things, but if a favorite rats out another girl for allegedly breaking the same rules, the girl will be cut while the favorite gets away with it. I have been told more than once Kelli and Charlotte have already decided which girls will be on the squad by the time Finals are over meaning they are bringing in certain girls in order for cuts, drama and ratings (not ALL the girls have the same chances of making the team.)

They don't have to have any formal dance training as a requirement, so a lot of them don't know the terms. It surprised me, too. Kat on the current team has no training and believe it or not, even KaShara had no formal training and she's a great dancer.

That’s a professionalism thing: the way that Melina handled that was the exact opposite of professional, and Kelly and Judy will not be angry with any of the girls in these situations. The won’t, however, forget that it happened. It’s kind of like making a mistake that you can move on from but stays on your record. They know that’s how she will react and they don’t want that on the team.

Her reaction was the cringiest, more than Julia for me. I feel for her loss, but I feel like she was deflecting as if that justifies her making excuses that defy what Kelli and Judy see. Apparently she is NOT the great field dancer she sees herself as. She wasn’t humble or polite to them at all, almost as if they were not entitled to eliminate her. I couldn’t wait for her to leave.

Nina Willow she was ok but she was by no means a showstopper like holly or Maddie. If she were trying out against the dancers in these past seasons there would be no way she would make it.

Unpopular opinion, but I think she seemed a little too desperate to be on the team. I mean putting off getting married or setting a date in order to make the team. It would be like being engaged to a guy who did not want to set a date or get married for two or three years because he wanted to make the Dallas Cowboys Football Team first.

I would save these shows on my DVR. After her meeting with them when they confronted her and corrected her, Julia was on field walking back to practice. Some of the other girls were approaching her to comfort her and Julia clearly mouthed “Fuck that” and looked super pissed. I rewound it when I first saw they missed that in the editing room 🙃

I had the Epstein Barr virus that causes mono last year and the fatigue and loss of appetite lasted for two months. I had to nap after taking a shower because bathing was exhausting. I can’t believe they expected her to be at her best so quickly.

Yeah for real. I watched this season as it was airing and having had mono it really pissed me off that they were so cruel to her about it. I guess the timing could be off and it’s a matter of reality tv producers or whatnot doing hack jobs on bits of footage to create a problem where there isn’t one. Still though.

When Melissa Rycroft was called into the office, that was the same night that Meghan Flaherty was cut the second time.

Kelli and Judy took a lot of heat after Judy was making excuses for Cassie in Season 3. The one scene in Season 3's TC when Cassie ask for someone's inhaler due to her Asthma acting up in practice. Judy posted something on a website forum page about Cassie being sick with mono the same evening she was called out for running out of gas and ended up in Urgent Care or the ER for being sick. People were calling Judy out for making excuses for Cassie while they called Melissa into the office the year before for being sick. I guess Kelli and Judy ended up apologizing to Melissa.

@@nancyleddige6997 I had forgotten about making this comment. During that season I was on the CMT MTT forums and we had a chat once with Melissa. She mentioned this and she said she was much more sick than how she looked on the show. She said she almost didn't make it through that practice. She didn't come back for a third season but I kind of doubt that her being sent for over this had anything to do with it. She had taken a new job and she just couldn't do both.

My husband said watching Kelli and Judy on DCC is like watching mean girls episode. I know they have to be tough on those girls. But the way the show is clipped and filmed they do seem pretty mean. I wonder if they will ever get reamed for the body shaming like what goes on in Women's gymnastics.

Kelli wanted to keep Malena and Lily at the end of Season 13, but Charlotte said no. Charlotte has a lot more say in who does or does not make it to TC or on the squad than people seem to realize.

I think for Shaina they were probably also considering the amount of trauma she in particular went through in training camp and if she came back in the future she could potentially struggle with that trauma again, don't know for sure but I would guess that was how they meant it

I feel genuinely bad for her. Because people actually are making fun of her reaction and it's just cruel the things people have said. Yeah. Maybe it was over the top. But, she had her heart broken at that very moment. She was trying her best to hold it together. Some people are just better at keeping a straight face when they're broken 🫤
