As a music teacher, this is one of the biggest hurdles my students face. Just...try it. Put away the ego or the opposition at the door and TRY. i started singing because i was dared to by my uncle at church. i think if it wasn't for his dare i never would have gathered the courage to sing because i was too embarrassed. People don't realize how a small action can change your life.

Another thing I would add as an athlete/singer is being associated with being a nerd and what not and a lot of really talented people hide their voices like I did for so long because of what you said the ridicule and such. Your vocal videos and exercises have helped me more than you could know and I love singing more than ever because I was able to have that person who told me I sounded great even when you couldn't hear me so thank you Cheryll!!

I was bullied in 4th grade by my entire class. Since then I struggle with expressing myself and comparing myself to others. This message was for me. 😢Thank you. I used to sing in front of hundreds and stopped a few years ago. I’m afraid to go back and start over after the 🦠 changed parts of my voice. I sing around it but I’m still afraid of failing.

I had soooooo soooo soooo many fears when j started singing and people were looking at me saying like it is just a little girl she cannot sing and all of thaf stuff and I had a hard time. I started when I was 6, now I am 13 and now it is easier not to react on that kind of people but sometimes it si hard… even my classmates and friends that I believed they will be my friend forever did not believed at me. True. My sisters can sing so there were always negative comments when I tried. Well after discovering you I have been practicing and don't care what anybody says. I may never come anywhere close to being great but I sing because it makes me happy 😊
