I was amazed to see the entire sequence of the event been showed in a vivid yet anthromorphic manner i could resonate with the speaker "Being a mother is not necessarily being the one who gives birth but also the one who nurtures and protects you" kashifa and her family and the immortal relationship between kashifa and quasi ❤We could simply see the trait so closely 💙

What a fantastic talk! And a worthwhile way to spend your life. I was actually taking a break from applying for a TEDx talk and decided to watch this. My topic is how shelter dogs can make isolated, lonely people feel purposeful, while the dogs receive love. .. Maybe not the same topic but more alike that different. Thank you.

I wish everyone could have the luxury of caring for another species. I think about "consciousness" and how it developed often, and I feel like a lot of insight can be gained by spending your life caring for and observing animals. What we call emotions are just complex extensions of primal, simpler, built-in reactions or instincts. I hypothesis that the most basal emotion is fear. Nearly everything, in some way, learns to respond to potential death, leading to fear. Over time, more complex organisms allow for more memory and the ability to associate, opening a world to more subtle and different emotions that can be applied to the increasingly complex environment.

Watched this dude for a long time, and he's about as Miami as can be, look at what Florida law has become, and amplify that to animal laws..the guy from tiger King was here bypassing laws and using animals in so many ways, zoos do too, they may learn a lot but they know it's wrong in a lot of ways...

If people were as effective in transforming their destructive emotions and instincts as this lion, we would stop destroying animals for food. Not only that, but violence, crime and war would also end.

It's not the easiest question to answer. Our ancestors lived "in the wild" not so long ago. Do you want to do that again?

@@christaylor9095 not really a comparison. Humans are not trapped and kept in cages or enclosures their whole lives for other humans to go and gawp at them.

@Herbivore it is obviously a comparison. There are differences, sure, which is why I lead with "it's not the easiest question to answer." Yes, thequality of captivity can vary depending on the establishment and, yes, they have limited movement regardless, but they also never go hungry, never go thirsty, have significantly reduced hazards from inclement weather and predation/hunting/poaching, they get veterinary treatment for parasites and medical conditions. Tradeoffs. Also, you didn't answer my question. Would you like to go back to a hunter/gather existence?

People infer inaccurate things about other humans constantly, yet we think we get animals? Smh. She could equally fear him so she is submitting; as a young lioness, she is used to seeing lion behavior. Equally plausible, it is pure instinct, no emotion. Sigh.... humans
