Emperor, new coaster for 2020 @ Sea World SanDiego, Point of view video. Front and side seat featured. Animated Prediction/Expected overhead layout. Themed after the Emporer penguin!
The upcoming dive machine at Sea World San Diego is a monster. This 153-foot tall dive machine will claim the "biggest dive coaster in the west" world record, stealing it away from Knotts just two years later. The 6-wide seats and 3 rows per car will make it the first 6-across B&M Dive Machine in the United States! This allows for quicker maneuvers than the 8 or 10-across trains we've seen previously in the USA. #Emperor #SWSD #SeaWorld #SanDiego

This ride is made with Nolimits 2 and features the color schemes featured in the report filed with the city of San Diego. It follows the exact layout to-scale based on the location. The low points and high points of the coaster fit in with the mapped area as close as possible. The ride features 3 inversions, an immelman, a barrel roll, and an in-line twist. The first drop is taken at 90-degrees, down 143 feet. Hangtime opened earlier this year at Knotts Berry Farm, claiming the tallest dive-coaster in the western hemisphere, but now the record will lie in the hands of someone else. Please know this is not a video from the park and only based from the official plans.
"The coaster will climb 153 feet before plunging back down 143 feet while reaching speeds of more than 60 mph, according to SeaWorld officials. The ride will include nearly 2,500 feet of track and "floorless" cars that will hold 18 riders in three six-person rows.
The park originally announced that the ride would be named "Mako" after the endangered shark species, which is considered the fastest shark in the world. Park officials said the new name would reflect the ability of emperor penguins to dive to depths of 1,800 feet in the waters of their native Antarctica." -Patch.com

Andy Byrd yeah, waiting on KZfaq, it's still in processing. Should be 2.4k at 60fps. Apparently it’s happening sitewide on a lot of videos the last couple days, try again tomorrow :/

How? This will be the only Sea World/Busch Gardens Dive coaster with no water elements. However I can see two areas where they should place water elements.

I'm upset that it doesn't have a splashdown, but love the lack of a mcbr. An acceptable tradeoff I suppose.

This is actually one of the best dive coaster layouts I've seen so far. Just one drop; no brakes; lots of fluid inversions and features. Seems dope!

LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOO. today is the first day open and it is now 2022 march 2 and the ride is sick. rode on it a few hours ago. it is probably the best coaster at sea world though it is pretty short.

This has to be the most unique dive coaster so far. Fr a corckscrew and an overbank? Coolest things we’ve seen so far on a dive coaster is a vertical loop and an inline roll.

If this had the classic B&M restraints, it would probably be the best dive coaster in the US. 3 inversions (Including the zero G roll), and no MCBR

I hope I'll be able to ride it in reality next year. But I don't know how many seats each row has, but you guess 6. Neither do the restraints. Either the over the shoulder restraints, or the new B&M vests. This was I was hoping SeaWorld San Diego should have, which is any B&M coaster.

mhm well this is my home park (Not too disappointed) we never got a coaster. Disappointed about the vest restraints not being there but I’m thankful we get a new coaster.

I know why SeaWorld renamed it emperor because if they’d kept the original Mako name that would’ve confused guests with the B&M hyper coaster at seaworld Orlando

So eine Achterbahn muss man sein in Heidepark und nicht so wie die Krake als Achterbahn wollte das ist einfach ne Lachnummer und die haben keine Ideen wenn man so eine gemacht hätte das wäre noch vinsens richtig gut und ist doch viel länger und diesem Video weil bei der Krake oder Achterbahn dann könnte man ja auch sonst noch ein Aquarium mit einbauen da wo das Schiff ist und dann Fische oder Kraken auch reinpacken dann hat sie auch ein richtiger Name dazu aber so ist es einfach nur für 20 Millionen 41m hoch einfach nur eine Lachnummer und rausgeschmissenes Geld

Justin K I Like The Lions yeah the two dive coasters at both Busch Gardens Parks Griffon and sheikra are way better because they feature the original shoulder restraints that the newer ones do not have
