I would like to point out that Starscream let the whole crew VOTE on whether or not they should pull the plug on Megatron and when the vote didn't go his way, he STILL abided by the crew's decision.

If we look at this from a much more realistic stand point I am impressed with starscream’s level of resilience with megatron.

Proof why Megatron is insane: In the Omega lock episode after Optimus destroys the omega lock and the sole means of restoring their planet, Starscream is angry at Optimus for dooming their planet but Megatron on the other hand does not care about Cybertron and laughs because they know the location of the Autobot base.

Make the Decepticons great again, vote Starscream for president.

Sometimes i feel like Starscream is one of the Few Decepticons that remember their original goal. Fighting against the Deception of the The Senate. But now there like yeah we want to conquer all intelligent life now. We have straved way to far my Decipticons Brothers.

If Starscream somehow got Soundwave’s loyalty through showing how crazy Megatron was, he would have had a much higher chance of being leader. Sure, Soundwave would feel betrayed by his friend, but it would be for the better.

Gets the Apex Armor so Optimus is forced to work with dreadwing to defeat him 5. Nearly Finds the autobot base but soundwave had to get in the way 6. Nearly ended Megatron once and for all 7. Finds a ton of energon 8. Almost destroys Bumblebee's chance of ever transforming again 9. Escapes a cave in 10. Survives on his own for months 11. Reawakens Skyquake (twice)

I was always rooting for Starscream when I was watching Prime, Animated, Armada etc. and I never knew why but this video sheds some light on that for me. Starscream really only "fails" because he has the drive to try and a lot of the time he's seemingly the only one who tries to challenge the status quo and end the perpetual war between the Autobots and Decepticons even if his intentions and actions aren't the most noble or kind he's doing is best to end a war!

I feel like starscream is everyone's favorite character, and I would love to see him lead the Desepticons

Honestly, Starscream would do better to have his own Faction. I sincerely doubt he could truly be an Autobot, but the Decepticons are clearly not for him. If he wants power, loyal followers, and all the praise, he would need to create his own new Faction. One that suits his Villainous Anti-Hero philosophy.

The problem with Starscream is that he often squanders whatever advantage he has, and panics the moment he begins to lose that advantage. That's the actual reason Megatron stays on top; it's not just Megatron's brute strength but also that he has far more confidence, especially in dire situations.

Hmmm, then perhaps the Decepticons scattered to the stars for another raason. Megatron ordered the exodus to curb Starscream's potentially growing power as the war tolled on and Megatron's own influence began to wane. EDIT: Also, IS Starscream actually slightly narcisistic or is he just egotistical? Narcissism's a pretty irredeemable trait and Starscream doesn't seem to hold that same obsession towards "Me! Me! Me!" that a narcissist would. He cares for his own power and his status but seems willing to put himself aside for his goals.

Well in IDW comics he did become the cybertron's leader,although he isn't exacly flawless but he is good at ruling.

Based on everything I've seen from starscream in the show, the novels, and even the comics (yes, there were comics) I would definitely prefer him as my leader than that snarling brute megatron. Hell, If I was a decepticon and had to choose between megatron or predaking because starscream was either dismissed or went rogue, I would defect to the autobots in disgust.

I have never really seen starscream as a coward to me he has always been very calm and tactical for the most part

if you think about it, in the very first episode of TFP when starscream was the leader while megatron was gone the autobots wore in a worse position then when megatron came later. starscream was able to kill an autobot and almost kill the other, he was also controlling every energon cave in earth which meant the autobots were getting really low on resources which meant eventually their spark would have dried out, if megatron never returned the deceptions would have won the war under starscream’s command.

I wonder, if Megatron did end up dying as a result of the space bridge explosion in Darkness Rising, just how different would the rest of the series be? How different would things be if Starscream did end up making peace with the Autobots? What would happen to 'cons like Soundwave, who was completely dedicated to Megatron to the point of completely rebuilding his body after Metroplex destroyed it in FOC?

Yeah all of this is what I saw in Starscream as well and is the reason why he is still my favorite Transformer the whole time! It really explores his character whether in a position of power or going rogue solo, I'm so glad that he was still around from Beginning to End even in robots in disguise.

I'll be honest I would like to see a kind of rewrite of Megatron. There's no many times I was thinking, why? Why didn't you conquer an abandoned cybertron? Why do you punish failure so harshly when you aren't doing anything? Why didnt you come up with a better lie to Orian pax? Why did you not give any options for the autobots to surrender or do some kind of truce? Why are you such a d to breakdown?

Some would look at Megatron stopping anything from killing Optimus so he can do it as being honorable but if Megs really believed in the cause then he would let Optimus die regardless he only does it because it makes his own story sound more dramatic the entire decpticon army only exist in this state to fuel his ego

What gets me is that Star DID lead the Decepticons for 3 years and did a pretty good job. But the second Megatron came back and started terrorizing him again, his Wisdom stats plummeted into the negatives.

It's actually kind of really weird that people and even the show writers treat Starscream as this "haha funny failure comedy man look at him fail and be cowardly lol what a pussy" while also he's an abuse victim who visibly gets more and more psychologically scared as the show goes on. Yeah, he's a bad person but to be honest so was everyone else in this show.

Looking back, Megatron let his obsession with Optimus and hunger for power cloud his judgement many times. He may have been "cunning" but he was far from intelligent. Megatron from TF animated was intelligent enough to trick Sumdac into repairing his body and managed to avoid detection from the autobots by hiding in a mine and secretly building a space bridge to Cybertron. Hell, Prime Scream may have been weaker but his plans were better and he a came closer to success many times. I cannot forgive him for killing Cliff, but he proved to be a more effective leader than Megatron.

I used to think Starscream was just a power hungry punching bag but, he does have his goals and ways which I can understand. Thank you for opening my eyes towards Starscream.

I think the other reason that fans think that Starscream is in general a bad leader and coward is because some of the most famous version of him (g1, tfa, and live-action as examples) ARE cowards and poor leaders. However, tfprime shows that starscream can be a great leader, but the problem is that no one takes him seriously. Same thing happens with bumblebee in the same continuity.

Congratulations, since I've been subbed to you I've gone from disliking Starscream and seeing him as the annoying frick up of the Decepticons to liking him quite a bit and thank you for showing his leadership skills.

I took a break from that to watch this. Just finished the episode, Triangulation, & was about to watch Triage. 👌✨

You know Starscream can be honorable leader he would go back to cybertron take the energon of earth rule like loki from thor ragnorock. Energon fulfillment, autobots and decepticons enjoying an Energon mug in macadams and reweloming colony worlds. He did personally come to save breakdown even if he used dark energon on himself personally once and forever left his addiction he wanted to know what the power felt like. Plus he would just yell and minimal damage to his troops. If Starscream was leader he will make cybertron the way he has in an image no one can possibly thought of.

OMG WHEN I SAW THIS VIDEO POP UP IN MY RECOMMENDED I ALMOST SCREAMED OF EXCITEMENT!!! OwO "What would he lose with the death of Starscream? A highly skilled fighter, a popular leader, and an enormous headache." That cracked me up lol "You will notice throughout the show that Starscream is an Energon hoarder." *snaps with fingers* YES! YES! THAT'S WHAT I THOUGHT!!! I included that in my Rogue!Starscream fic without really having that direct information! I just figured it out from his personality! I knew he thought about the future! :D Though I think I still need to work on the part with no grudges and never being hostile/aggressive unless the opposing character is hostile. Cautiousness is pretty easy to remember, though sometimes it slips a bit, but I think even the most cautious characters can let their guard down a few times. No one's perfect in anything, after all. This video was worth the waiting! I knew Starscream would be a better leader of the Decepticons than Megatron, but I didn't know just HOW much until now! My favorite moment of Starscream is definitely when he puts together that plan in Inside Job and steals all the Autobots' Omega Keys. I didn't realize his creativity in those other episodes though, like with Skyquake, Makeshift and such. Sometimes I need to be directly told about certain things to really realize it, or it has to be blatantly obvious like in Inside Job lol. In this case, Starscream's creativity, to clarify. I can't believe how easy it is to take Megatron's word for granted XD The creators of this show are brilliantly sneaky! The reason why Transformers Prime is still popular today is because there are so many things to analyze, so many unspoken things, easter eggs, mysteries to solve and lies to reveal! It makes the show so much more immersive! Great job on the video, I enjoyed it very much!

Megatron is a danger to his troops he refused to rescue Breakdown when he was captured by mech. He murdered Dreadwing and a random vechicon when he threw a car mode off a ship. The Decepticons were much better off with Starscream leading them.

In Megatron's defense: the Autobots could regroup and gather assets on Earth. They could also recover the Project Iacon relics, which would provide a massive advantage. My knowledge is unclear, but the Decepticons may have had at least some understanding of the Iacon payload, considering it housed many weapons which they produced and subsequently lost in battle.

I wonder, if Starscream really did manage to overthrow Megatron by some miracle, and took the rule over the cons, would Optimus even consider to accept him as a leader just to stop the war? Optimus did see some potential in SS when bots captured him, but later on it seems he began to dislike SS as much as every other con. It would be such an interesting conflict! Prime could even show the dark side of his Spark, if he decided to continue the war because he consideres himself to be a more suited leader.
