Loved the game 2011-2017,2018. Then it died kinda since you needed to buy rubies way more and they spammed the fking ads all over me. Played my whole childhood basically this game with my friends and it was awesome. Aint never been a rubywhale so the game wasnt as tempting in the end :)

Video was amazing. Oh god i didnt know how nostalgic would all this be... I stopped playing around 2016. The game after that became too much pay to win, i remember back at 2016 at least i could spend my time and win those who payed. That couldnt happen anymore after 2018.. Dear god how much i enjoyed this game! Ofcourse we would all play the older version, the more simpler one, without money making a big difference! I think that's what ruined the game, unfortunately them being greedy. Looking forward for the next vid! Keep up the good work, also with you a happy life!

Breor, how do you think, is it possible for goodgame studios to open at least beta source codes from the game for someone could create their own server based on a certain version (like it was with tankionline [ Flash game ]). Playing empire in a small community like (50 - 200 people) would be very interesting. Imagine if you know every player on the map personally. Or they can add feature "Create your own server" for money, even so i would've been pleased. This idea doesn't leave my mind over 2 years, but unfortunetly i haven't found any source codes, and even been scammed around 3-4 times by people 'having src code' Maybe you should make a video. Something like "Empire players dreams" where you will discuss very interesting ideas that probably won't become true, but still... you know, interesting stuff. Welcome back, the king!

I think the problem (for GGS) considering bringing back a classic version is if anything, it would be too successful. If it stayed at all true to the earlier versions, it would be orders of magnitude less P2W than the current version, meaning all the non whales would switch to that version. That'd mean less content for the whales, causing them to lower their spending or quit. Additionally, GGS would make less money from the new "classic" version than they did from the old one, and the only reason the less aggressive monetization worked in the first place was the rapidly growing playerbase, which they don't have anymore. They now have to squeeze as much as they can out of the shrinking base. If we ever get another game like old empire, it won't be made by GoodGame Studios.

Great video Breor! Good to see you back. It’s great to see the early development of the game again. I tried getting back into the game a couple of years ago but failed miserably. Similar to your experience, I just didn’t have the time. However, the game itself seemed to discourage new players. I believe (from memory) I would have had to hit at least level 60 before basic events like nomads would become available. I basically had no npc’s to keep me engaged other than robber barons. After about 2 and a half weeks it became incredibly monotonous. I wonder why the developers would have increased the minimum level for events🤷🏻‍♀️. It might’ve just been the Australian server I was on was dying and didn’t have the numbers required to justify events for low-to-mid level players. Plus the game was incredibly micro-transaction heavy. Already established players may have been more inclined to spend money than new ones. It was sad to see at the time. Again, great video dude. Looking forward to the next instalment!

Can you make the same video for lower level players, i am lvl15 and i dont understand waves ir how to assign tools, whether to assign tools in each wave or only the first and many more Can you please make the video for lower level players Some other things i don't understand are how to successfully participate in events like nomad or samuruas lower level players, or whether to attack robber barren for equipment or loot?

Played game back in 2011-2013(not sure when i started) when game was in Miniclip(ahah that site was the best, sad they closed it). It was great. At some point i tried to return but game had changed too much and way too P2W. Wasn't the first Battle for Berimond different from what in video though? because i remember that enemy players camps were needed to be captured and in the end either team basically conquered whole berimond instead of just attacking fortresses or capital of enemy team.

There it is some game like this? I play the old game with friends, I miss the old game, there it is no pvp more, not in even US1 server.

I used to play Goodgame Empire around this time. It was great, and felt more balanced and cozy compared to how it's been when I've checked it out recently. It just feels so much more P2W and bloated. Shame really.
