The general idea of playing as England is to use Feudal Bond technology to outnumber/outtechnology the enemy's army. To counter the Cardinal‘s Plague Ability specifically, you need to spread your units on a wide area, keep them separate from each other to minimize the number of the affected units. It is also better to have some monks to heal your troops.

Yo, thanks for your fast reply, feels good to know someone that still enjoys this very old game as well :) Yeah, haven’t tried Feudal Bond yet but will sure try it out soon ;) So, after 4 hours of trying I just got my first win at Emperor Level bro :D I need to tell you what I did though. A bunch of attempts I tried to rush attack but the AI reacted like crazy despite having no troops by building 10 towers and they ran away with the villagers to build more combat buildings elsewhere, so this wasn’t working. I got the win on the 2nd try where I actually developed more, no attack rush and defended my base with towers myself :P I was playing against 1 Computer Player on a Tiny Map Size Plains, Gunpowder Age only no Aging up. Do you think rushing and winning outright is even possible with those settings?? My feeling told me it’s kinda impossible and you should develop normally and attack later… Yeah I had to be really careful about the stupid cardinals still btw, I sent 1-2 horses on them so they would waste their plague ability 😂

@@maximusmagic3793 haha that decoy strategy is good, I also used that when I paid attention to the act. About the mentioned setting, I feel it's impossible for England to rush in general because England has only 1 villager at the start and the villager production takes long time. I used to play versus a guy who saved up all his resources to upgrade the Mecerdes technology which gave him a bunch of random units. Then he used those units to do a lot of harrasment to my base. But to be honest, that strategy is an all-in move, and if you lose those units, you lose the game for sure. So I feel that England should be played defensively.

I am wondering if the Map Size has an impact on the aggression level of the AI because I played on Tiny while you played on Medium. It took me 1:18 h to finish the game while it took you 16 mins but you didn’t really get attacked, my guy sent cannons and other stuff regularly to my base 😅 Gonna try whether Medium Maps are more chill, I liked the continuous feeling of action on the Tiny Map though ⚔️ It felt as if I could go down any second and my buildings/walls burned and stuff but I bounced back 💪🏻 What do you think about England‘s Units btw? I have only been using Knights and the Arquebusiers, I love the Arquebusiers for some reason lol I will record some gameplay soon too 😊

@@maximusmagic3793 in my opinion, England's units are the strongest units in Gunpowder age. Its gun infantry has the longest range of attack, its gun cavalry has the highest attack strength. Plus they have the technology that can create a huge number of units at once. It overpowers other civs, provided that they have a robust economic base.
