I just bought a new 889 empisal sadly first step filling bobbin the spindle turns and then stops , faulty spindle ...is this a reliable machine ..am returning but not sure if I should swop out for another one

@@carolmk3114 we ended up hiring someone to fix it, I kid you not he hit it with a hammer a few times and it worked , there is no way to get to all the gears to try fix it

Could be upper thread tension too tight or needle facing the other way round ...the needle shld be rounded side out and flat side in.. hope explanation making sense😬

Sometimes the needle eye is too small for the thread you are using. For instance if you are using top stitching thread in a regular needle, it will probably shred.
