-117 SQM house. Ground floor done. First floor to be built later.
-Cost: Ksh 4.7M (USD 34.8K) finished house
-Precast panels used for walling
-T beams and blocks used for the flat roof
-It took 7 weeks to build, from 5th of March to 27th April, when Beatrice moved into her house from Mombasa.
- We shall do a final tour later where Beatrice will showcase the interior spaces of her house.

Bravo Ms. Beatrice. Your Late Father would be proud and we can see your proud Mother's face. You are a great inspiration to many young women who happen to be single mothers and to those who are not single mothers or even married. You thought ahead for your sons separate shelter on same compound when they get older as well. Women should really start building something (or even just purchasing land) that IS in THEIR own name. Why? Africa is rooted in a culture of man being head of family and all properties are only under their names. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this. However, many women , even married, are in situations where they end up with nothing when their spouse passes, due to unforeseen circumstances or criminal family members. So women, start small, even just a small parcel of land. Save then buy more and more.
