Why do so few women negotiate their first job when compared to men and more important, what can we do about it? Jane Sojka has found that resiliency and overcoming fear of failure are teachable skills and she discusses how her college students have learned to become confident. Jane Sojka Ph.D., fights to change the world, one student at a time. Through her innovative methods for teaching confidence, students develop resiliency and courage to ask for what they want. She is the winner of national teaching awards, and is the professor of the largest class taught at UC. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

The greatest empowerment every woman should have is being empowered financially and mentally. This way you will be at the top of your food chain. Being finally free is one thing every woman should be looking after. I wasn't financial free until my 40’s and I’m still in my 40’s, bought my second house already, earn on a monthly basis via my investment and got 5 out of 5 goals, just hope it encourages someone that it doesn’t matter if you don’t have any of them right now, you can start TODAY regardless your age INVEST and change your future! Investing in the financial market is a grand choice I made. Great video! Thanks for sharing! Very inspiring! I love this.

@@emmaemily7308 investing requires higher knowledge. I invest across the top markets but not by myself tho. i follow the guidelines of Alexandra Diana Jose. you might have heard of her.. I can correctly say she’s worth her salt as a investment advisor as her diversification skills are top notch/ I say because i see that in her results as my portfolio grows by averages of 30 to 5O% on a monthly basis, unlike i can say for my IRA which has just been trudging along. my portfolio just mirrors what her place and not just on some particular industries of my choosing.

Alexandra is the best in this space, I'm happy to come across these recommendations. I have worked with her and I can testify to her servi¢es. I am very impressed with the thoroughness and professionalism of the investment diligence packages she provides, and the return in all cases has been very positive with returns sometimes exceeding the initial plans.

Sometimes you pull yourself out of the game for your health. I'm not afraid of failing at all. I've hit the ground running more times than I can count.

I think the ratio at the beginning could be about companies not wanting to hire woman because if they get pregnant they cant work for a period of time, when they get menapause it effects efficiency in the job and if they dont make child before menapause it is very high likely they will suffer from mental problems such as depression, this is statistics and science but we should figure something out for this because there might be a lot of women with great potential that got defeated by the problems in the video.

You can do whatever you want, but it's still within the operating ranges of a world world that was not created by women.
