Including an answer to why we moved from New York; what sold us on this specific apartment; and how we managed to find an apartment in LA while we were still living in Manhattan during a pandemic.
After living in New York for two (unforgettable) years, we moved back to California to be closer to family, and into a stunning two bedroom apartment in the heart of DTLA. This is our first #hometour #vlog of many to come.

I don’t always feel this way, but I love all the white walls in the apartment. It really gives the place an upbeat, bright, and open feel to have so much sunlight reflecting off white walls. I hope you keep that aspect of the place.

Congrats for the apartment. The space there is nice. Kitchen space is cool. Your bedroom looks very good and having the two bathrooms are cool. Having the washer & dryer inside your apartment is a total win😜. And finally that view of the L.A. downtown area is gorgeous. You will find great things to place in your apartment soon.

Floor to ceiling windows definitely let in a lot of natural light! You both chose well! Love you both so much! I genuinely appreciate you both! Welcome to LA! I made the same trek from Hell's Kitchen to West Hollywood eight years ago. I still get emotional a few times a year when friends share pictures of their first Spring picnic in Central Park, when they text me from their Fall apple picking adventures, and of course when they experience snow...and they hate me when they see me in shorts in the middle of winter and they are freezing. You will learn the trade offs of living in LA are really GREAT. Check out the Helms Bakery District for furniture and design, it's a great place to meet friends for an afternoon cocktail and shopping.

First of all, you have the same name as my dad, and when I read this, I thought... why is my dad saying he moved from NYC? 😂 In any case, GREAT NAME! And even more amazing that you're a transplant to LA from NYC too! We're absolutely sure to miss the first moment of Spring in NYC this year. Spring and Fall in NYC were our favorites. Get used to the zoomies, boys. My home is 90% wood floors, and my cats find it great fun to barrel through the place, berming off the walls and furniture... still haven't figured out how to apply the brakes, yet! It's a lovely place, and the views are terrific. It will be better once you've furnished it a bit and don't have the echos. Wish you both the best and brightest for your new home! MD

I didn't think I would like the view of LA buildings but I do. I'm in SC so like green grass and trees. Being so high up, it should give you a sense of security from breakins altho I assume building has some security people around.😊💖💕 Love your attitudes. A beautiful apartment. Love the appliances.

H.D. Buttercup in Culver City is a HUGE designer showroom in a former bakery factory. It's pricey, but fun to peruse and potentially get inspiration. I hope you both fall in love with Los Angeles and carve out your own sense of peace and home here.

WOW!! Great looking apt. how high up are you? The views are wonderful and I can just imagine how beautiful the sun rise is in the mornings coming through those large widows. Questions: Is your lease for a year or longer? Do you find LA apartment price equal to NY or higher? Is you building dog friendly? Do you have to pay extra for pets? Good luck in your new place.

Thank you, William! Lease is for a little longer, prices were much less for more space than in NYC! Our building is 1,000% dog friendly - they even have a dog spa 😱😱 And pet rent is a thing here.
