EMS800 - EMS600 Tool Probing Ballscrew Auto Tool Changer ATC Mach3 Tool Height Setting Tool Table

Small video to show auto tool length measurement using our wireless tool height sensor and setting for Mach 3, this routine uses a reference tool and sets the Z to zero and then populates tool table with offsets compared to first tool. You can just set reference toot to zero and then set offset for single replaced or damaged tool rather than all eight as shown here. Routine will be refined and improved for faster operation, as you can see runs quickly enough to run whenever you want, very important all tools are checked before running that they are clean and no swarf or other contaminants on tools especially reference tool as all other readings will be referenced from your chosen tool.

This routine runs alot faster and will be optimised with some added safety checks, but just a quick video to show concept also routine only run once or when tools broken or replaced so no real need to be fully optimised but 2 minutes already taken off routine after video uploaded. Thanks for the comments and will optimise as you suggested.

Do you ship outside of the UK? I'm located in the US and have some interest. Currently I have CNC Ballscrew Taig mill and this machine looks to be a bit larger plus has an automatic tool changer. Do you have a USD amount for these machines? Also how many pounds does the machine weigh? And last question, what is the difference between the 600 and 800?

Love the simplicity of the tool changer. Of course it wont fare well if over run, or the stepper shaft wont anyway ;-)

nice- but dont lift so high above tool carousel- your wasting approx 3 seconds on every up/down movement going so high. you really only need to be clearing the height of the pull studs with the tool nose?
