So I know there’s a lot of videos going on being made about all these crazy expensive ingredients but like do you ever just wanna make a video about someone trying something that is cheap to medium price vs something overly expensive like wagyu, etc. to see what people might like more or what do you personally like more? I feel like since watching you in master chef to now you’ve gone with more of the hype foods that get you clicks that are usually overly expensive stuff but you would try to inspire people with your homemade creations that’s what was truly special. Like the dry ramen or the lemon cake batter dessert you made for the judges on master chef or the salmon on a college textbook you made in the final episode of that season. Like where is more of that?

Quick fact about emu eggs... the part of Australia I live is wurundjeri land, of the woiwurrung people, and all over Australia stuff is different, so it might be different for other clans. The woiwurrung people would tell when it was emu egg collecting season by the stars, when a group of stars called "the great emu" would rest over mountains, they knew it was time to collect emu eggs. Aboriginal Australians have and always had a great connection to the earth, and nature. They believed they were as much part of the land as the animals and plants, so they always knew never to take too much, and to give back as much as they took... they would only take what they needed, no more, so the land and animals always thrived, and the emus never died out

They also are the reason Australia has a huge barren desert though when they lived on slash and burn hunting.

@@OliWalsh38 The Aboriginals practice a tradition called fire-stick farming, which some theorize to be a descendant of primitive slash and burning agriculture or slash and burn hunting and climate simulations agree that given stability pre-industrialization, Australia's "outback" would have more flora but explorers found a vast desert-like area with a huge amount of wildlife compared to other deserts. They theorized that these are the survivors of natural selection, meaning somethings were living there recently without migrating but some kind of environmental pressure forced them to change and adapt. We know they're not migratory because a lot of these species could only be found in Australia.

@@EzekielDeLaCroix yeah ik all that but I don't get ur point, the ecosystem was thriving and strong before white ppl arrived

@@OliWalsh38 It was the Aboriginals who arrived first for thousands of years and exerted environmental pressure - having a hand in creating the Outback. There is no shame in admitting primitive and hunting-heavy cultures drive lots of species to extinction. Even the Maori admit they killed off a lot of their wonderful specimens before Europeans arrived.
