Tower of Terror at Tokyo Disney Sea is a unique experience unlike no other that takes guests on a tour through Hotel Hightower and about the Hotel's Owner, Harrison Hightower III's mysterious disappearance. Unlike the other Tower of Terrors around the world at Walt Disney World in Florida and Walt Disney Studios Park in Paris, The Hotel Hightower: Tower of Terror at Tokyo Disney Sea doesn't follow the Twilight Zone storyline. Instead, the Tower of Terror at Tokyo Disney Sea follows the story of the Society of Explorers and Adventurers, or S.E.A., with the corrupt Harrison Hightower III being the main character. On his trips around the world, Harrison Hightower has "collected" hundreds of artifacts, treasures, and even human bones which have been added to his collection throughout the Hotel. One of his newest additions, and unfortunately his last, was Skiriki Utundu, a mysterious idol said to be cursed. After taking the Idol up to his room, Harrison Hightower III's Elevator mysteriously dropped from the 13th floor to the bottom of the hotel, however, his body was never found. The Hotel Hightower Tower of Terror is a great experience for the entire family to enjoy and should absolutely be done if you or your group are visiting the Tokyo Disney Sea Park.

Brilliant take on the goated elevator ride we all know and love! I imagine the change in theme and original story was because The Twilight Zone is probably relatively unheard of in Japan, what with it being an old American TV show. The fact they were able to pull off the original story and create an absolutely BANGER thrill ride is impressive :D

The background story has been changed from the original because the Japanese Tower of Terror is located on the American Waterfront. The area was designed to resemble New York City in the early 20th century, so the story needed to be adapted to that.

Love this version, however now having rode it, the drops are really tame even compared to Disney Standards of intensity. I heard they sometimes have events for this where the drops are more intense but it should be like that all year.

They way he said 'Bakabakashii' is more on the lines of "How silly" or "That's ludacris." If he said it in a more angry tone then it becomes "that's bullshit". In Japanese the way you say the word changes the connotation.

I felt “what a load of BS” fit the tone of the attraction better since in English “Ridiculous” or “that’s silly” sounds more funny and loose compared to the context of the pre show
