I agree with ditching the fast repairs. All that does is keep wreckers in the race longer to cause more chaos. Unfortunately if they did that, there wouldn't be anyone left running by the end of the race.

I dont watch nascar but I’ve been following the indycar and F1 virtual series, plus some of the esports series from Veloce and redline etc. everyone, nascar included, has done a great job and put a ton of effort into these broadcasts. Nascar and Indy are smart to do it in iracing, can get some really proper racing and good looking broadcasts as opposed to f1 doing the codemasters game, its a little silly but its fun in its own right

I love the fact that iRacing is getting so much screen time with big name drivers. But I kinda hate that they have to use fast repairs. We dont get fast repairs in the official iRacing races, but these guys crash so much that if they didnt have them there wouldn't be anyone left by the end. And that's just bad TV.

I've only watched half of this and 90% of the footage features cars under the yellow flag. Seventy laps have been completed, and this video can't even show one lap without a yellow flag? Can't we see the cars actually racing?

I hate to say this, but this is way more entertaining then real nascar. Nascar has gone down hill and with all the rule changes makes it even more difficult to watch. Can we go back to the older days???

Nascar Heat is a game for consoles like Xbox and PS4. It's designed to be played with a handheld controller and as such is very forgiving. iRacing on the other hand is more like a Microsoft Flight Simulator, but for racecars. It's painstaking programmed so that the cars act as much like their real life counterparts as possible. Real cars are scanned, real telemetry analyzed and even real tires studied to try and get all the behavior exactly right. Even the tracks are laser scanned. If there's a bump in the track in real life, there's the same bump in iRacing. In Nascar Heat they just get the licensing rights to NASCAR and then program a car to go round a track with no real thought given to realism beyond looks.

@@Clay3613 I dunno. iRacing was developed by the same guys who created the original Papyrus Nascar Racing and it's sequels. I think they've done a very good job at it. And since it's a subscription based service there are constantly updates to keep things as current as possible and get the physics as close to real as can get. Not trying to be a fanboy or anything. But I much prefer iRacing over other sim's or games I've played. They've got a lot more than just Nascar too.
