Lost to some extent as where do I go to find my roots when my own motherland has been colonised. I have turned to spirituality for truth. Figure things out for myself.

I.love this so much. I'm ex Muslim and I studied the Holy Quran ,I started questioning myself why would I need another culture or form to pray to communicate with God.? I found out that all the people that brought religion to Africa,the Arabs,the European or the orthodox concept of christianity that lived long enough before the western concept of jesus christ. To me it makes no sense at all,I want to be who I am,I'm dark skin I have my spirituality and religion. I.left islam because of this... And please I live somewhere in Europe I want to find a spiritual woman rather than a woman doctrines with wrong concepts of religion and more...

Once I found out my roots, being from the Balanta tribe in Guinea Bissau and the Mende tribe in Sierra Leone on my mother's side. And the Bubi tribe in Equatorial Guinea and Ewondo tribe in Cameroon on my father's side, I finally had the faith to ditch Christianity and fully embrace African spirituality and never look back. I gained back what was lost over 200 years ago due to slavery and feels natural to me.

We all are born without knowledge and are indoctrinated with the existing beliefs of those around us who were here before us. Bishop Joshua is struggling to accept homosexuality, it shows. He seems to be developing his own spiritual understanding on this issue still. His inclusivity stance his wanting however. He forgot that all lives are not here to procreate. Spirit knows. Also, the essence of human nature is more complex than a binary or singular narrative. Where tradition or culture is static, spirituality is fluid. Again, it is eurocentricism that forced gender binary and heteronormative lenses on us and displaced our understanding of fluidity in nature. We have to remember that. Ire!

I resonated with a number of things discussed in this brief discussion about spirituality as a universal law of Creation/God. We should start by looking at spirituality as a science as the guest traditional healer has pointed out, that way we can study it, do experiments & record the results & therefore make it a science. There are numerous written books on spirituality, the problem is we are not openly having conversations like on this show to address it. Spirituality as a science - One of the first things we should teach at school is that beingness (plants/animals/humans, etc.) has a body, mind & spirit. We had for millennia focused our studies on the body (biology) & the mind (psychology), and not so much on spirituality. Why? It's out of reach of physical science because it's not physical/tangible, & therefore cannot be measure, calculated or experimented on. That is why it falls under metaphysics, & experiments have been conducted on remote viewing, astral projection, telekinesis, telepathy, etc. Sexuality - Once you do research & self-educate yourself on the topic about spiritual energy, you will soon learn how the mechanics of spiritual energy works, & the different polarities thereof. I know that people want/feel it should be a clear-cut, with a left or right, hot or cold, male or female. But the intelligent design of Creation/God doesn't work like that. Because, between hot & cold we have warm, between black & white there is grey. And supplementary to that, hot water has multiple levels (high-to-low) before it gets to a warm level. The same with cold. So, what makes you think that the intelligent design of God suddenly stops when it comes to human sexuality? We should not entertain feelings of people when it comes to scientific/intellectual discussions. But we should focus on facts, studies & accumulated knowledge on the subject. And because we "feel" that no baby will come as a result of homosexual relationships, that does not mean we should throw away everything we know about spirituality/sexuality out of the window. Not to mention statistics on birth rate & population growth that shows exponential population growth. And homosexuality is not an epidemic that will one day lead humanity to zero birth rates. Nature has been doing this since antiquity, hence an earthworm is both male & female (hermaphrodite). And a marijuana plant is both male & female. Since the sudden death of the only person I've in life few days ago, - my Mother who lived a flawless life in church and died in church, I've been having this need to be more grounded and finding my true self.
