EFF member Floyd Shivambu joins eNCA's Cathy Mohlahlana tonight on As It Happens. Shivambu is facing a major backlash for a verbal attack on one of the country's anti-apartheid activists and Treasury employee for nearly two decades. Some have described his comments about the Reserve Bank's Ismail Momoniat as racist. Courtesy DStv403

This lady is unprofessional and has no intention of understanding where Floyd is coming from with the inputs he’s given in this interview, she also keeps on interrupting him without giving him a chance to put his points across and raise counter questions based on the responses given by Floyd.

Sandile Kheswa, that is the ways of the media. They try by all means to create an impression their enemy is a bogie man (bad person) and ignore all the facts to get their way. They have ceased every opportunity to paint a bad picture about the EFF and every time they fail. They are getting impatient and frustrated. They brought Shivambu there in order to humiliate him and make him look like a racist but they failed coz Floyd stood his ground and articulated facts that every logical human being can understand.

I agree. Cathy is intolerant but it doesn't surprise some of us because she's pushing a perculiar agenda with an ulterior motive that we don't know. Why did she invite Floyd there if she won't allow her to speak?

Floyd is correct, in proper terms when someone undermines his superiors, it is insubordination. Leadership must be respected and be in charge regardless of who people like. Anyone who undermines his superiors must be called out

Issue here with the EFF is the framing of the rhetoric; undertones of racial divisiveness as well as racial supremacy. The framing of policy positions on racial lines is troubling and representative of far left ideology espoused by EFF as well as segments of the youth movement that are prevalent in universities in South Africa currently.

SA tresuary must be criticized they are not special or above us all maybe they think constitutionally we are dumb to raise opposition opinions or questions about why we still don't have a state bank or why financial institutions are not run, managed and owed by blacks or why sa pays so much interest to investors from outside instead of its own citizens, so instead of tresuary explaining their position on issues they rather call Floyd ignorant.
