Even as a non-Spanish speaker I could tell the song was incredible. Then one day my children (who are obsessed with this soundtrack) played the English version and I had to stop what I was doing to sit and cry, it is that touching. The deep meaning may have been lost on my 11-year-old, but this song definitely touched my heart.

this song is too special for us Colombians because its background talks about the displacement of people because of armed groups, how they had to leave their land and wait for "a miracle"... it always makes me cry, it's very emotional. ❤🕯🐛🦋🇨🇴🥺

It’s so deep and heartfelt. And such a beautiful usage of what we know to be a special and sacred language. I listen to omit omit often and cry every single time. I hope they give them their flowers!!! 🌸

WDTAB is the technically more impressive song and is absolutely catchy. But Dos Oruguitas is more beautiful, more meaningful and is central to the story.

My favorite is *Surface Pressure* that Luisa sings. That song felt like Lin-Manuel Miranda stole my diary and set it to music. I even have a Luisa doll next to me while I work.

The truth is the song doesn't hit the same in English. It's absolutely beautiful in English but you almost NEED to hear it in Spanish to get the full effect

I don’t even speak Spanish but even before I looked up the translation, I knew it was just better in Spanish. I cried so so much even without knowing what it meant. Then once I got the translation, that was it. More and more and more tearsssss

I did not know who Sebastian Yatra was, ( yes, I live under a rock) but when I saw the movie and heard the song "Dos Oruguitas" I just couldn't stop crying, this kid has no idea what his voice makes others feel. It was beautiful and emotional at the same time. THANK YOU LIN, THANK YOU YATRA for such amazing miracle!

I'm 52 and had already watched it 8 times before my granddaughter came over to watch it with me. And now I've watched it probably more than 20 times. It is just a beautiful movie and because it highlights some of our culture, it means even more.

I'm almost 37 too and I probably love Encanto more than my kids! :) I've been trying to get my mum to watch it cause abuela reminds me so much of my grandma (her mum) and it's just so relatable, but apparently she's "too old for these kinds of movies". ("Hm," squeaks in Dolores)

I love how is a full circle for Sebastian, I remember his first interviews how he was inspired by Disney musicals specially high school musical wich he perform at his school doing Zack Efron character, congrats Sebastian, thank you Lin for your love letter to Colombia with this movie. I love to use the movie to teach my kids growing in us our culture, symbols, music, people. Thanks 🙏

People never think of guyana which has african, portugese, chinese and indian heritage. It is sitiated right next to Venezuela and right on top of brazil... The soca and folk music there has so many sub genres and is sung in manderin, broken english, hindi , spanish, swahili, portugese, and sometimes a mixture. The food is a mash up, the cultures blend into one, and there is so much beauty all around. G U Y A N A. The part of south america people don´t notice. Thank you for your time hehe :)

I’m Irish just started learning Spanish so I had to see what it was about and it’s so beautiful, Sebastian has such a beautiful voice and it’s actually mu favourite song from the movie , and this song has really drives me to want to get better at Spanish and I actually-refer the original Spanish version as I think it had more emotion and beauty to it I absolutely love this song and listen to it nearly everyday

What a blessing this was!!!!! And for those who didn't know, or who haven't had a chance to do so yet, Lin-Manuel Miranda also was the voice actor AND music creator for the animated movie *"VIVO"* with Gloria Estefan. I love it so much!!! And it is set in Cuba and then Key West and Miami. Do I even have to mention how great the music is?!!! It is on Netflix so please watch it. I love all of his work and am headed right now to buy Sebastian Yatra's album.

I’m Colombian, and when I listen to the song for the first time I couldn’t not cry.. because it reflect so many things, for example the violence that have been in here since many years and people displaced by this.. reflects a harsh reality that has unfortunately been present, of people alone without police or anyone to ask for help, and have to manage by themselves to raise their family away from their lands, their belongs and everything they know because of violence, for this and more it really touched my heart it's just beautiful Btw the river that appears in the movie looks similar to a river in here call “caño cristales” it is considered as the most beautiful river in the world, also the palm trees that appear, in here are an icon and are the larger palm trees in the world pd, we love Sebastian Yatra < 3

Ok, i appreciate the interview, but the interviewers need to learn to pronounce our names correctly, not give it a different accent and pretend it’s the same. If it were the other way around they would like their names pronounced correctly. It would be appreciated, thank you.
