In Cuphead, it's difficult but its your own fault if you mess up. In this game, it just unfairly spams and there's no room to escape.

Man, it’s been a long time since I’ve heard about this game. Surprised it’s actually been made.

The enemies are definitely randomly generated and you can tell they put more effort into the boss battles than the levels. For bullet hell type games, you can't have randomly generate otherwise you get sections where nothing happens or sections where it is literally impossible

Dawko's sanity slowly cracks like a piece of clay, its hilarious and relatable. I feel so bad for rage dawko sometimes

Don't know if this is true, but from what I've heard this game loses the progress you've made once you exit it or something like that, so Dawko will likely experience extra rage when/if he does a part 2 and the progress is gone 😅

Literally this is so fixable which makes it frustrating. Less enemy spam, more balanced enemy numbers, A FREAKING PARRY. And also more heart drops

Post-shift 2 is what happens when you only have 2 beta testers that don't even beat half the game, and Enchanted Portals is what happens when there's no beta testing

Funny how Cuphead was also super challenging, yet the levels in Cuphead still gave you waiting time so you can be able to process the level without doing a lot at once with enemies popping out of nowhere every mile-second

I genuinly really enjoy the design and animation for the game, but the fact that the levels are generated makes me kinda sad. I think it could have been a much better game had there been people actually designing the levels instead of generating them go such an extreme degree and making it super hard to play. Much love to Dawko having to endure this game!! 💚💚

This game really seems like it was created by a group of artists the art is beautiful music and all. It seems like they saw CupHead and thought “hey we should try that!” But they didn’t know how to really make a good game

This game doesn’t have a save system, so if you leave the game, you have to play through the entire game again, you have to play through this game in 1 sit through.

i love dawkos non fnaf videos so much!! nothing wrong with the fnaf ones, but variety is a lot of fun and hes a joy to watch no matter what the game is! :)

it feels like the art team and the programmers weren't communicating in the slightest, the art and character designs look brilliant, but there's an apparent disconnect, especially in the third boss, Dawko complains about the springs but they are kind of telegraphed (the octopus sticks his corkscrew into the ground and you see a hole appear) but there's not enough indicators there, and the fish in the final stage, they seem to be at a lower resolution than everything else, it all just feels off

tbh, this game seriously had potential to be good, if not, just decent enough where its simply just enjoyable. the music, art + animation is actually not that bad and really impressive! as an artist myself, i love the colors and designs and personality fitted for every character and enemies seen so far. it genuinely just suffered two major flaws: the game mechanics and plot progression. the game feels too generated with spam that it's not even fun or fair, and serious lack of instructions with powers and abilities making the player figure it out themself. the story could have been definitely been more polished out since i really think the concepts are neat, but im getting confused how the run and gun relates to the boss battles?? its just random with barely little to no connection. i may be a fan of random stuff pushed together for fun, but that type of preference is definitely not for everyone. it also sucks to know as a huge cuphead fan since its release, this "copycat" failed miserably to understand what made cuphead great in the first place then just doing their best to stay 'original' while coping its main first-look aspects. not to mention this game took YEARS in development and it seriously still needed more polishing. insane...

I feel like in its current state the game should be an early access alot of it really feels undone or like an after thought. This game could've really benefited from early access as well as they could have people giving direct feedback on why the games so bad in its current state and they could've released the full game later on once it was actually ready

Yeah I’m happy you said it like that because most people call it a “cuphead ripoff” or a game that’s “trying to be cuphead but fails” when it’s NOT supposed to be cuphead it’s supposed to be INSPIRED by it that’s like saying scamshin impact is a ripoff of legend of Zelda breath of the wild just because it has the climbing mechanic when that’s only INSPIRED BY breath of the wild and it’s the same when people say a game is a “souls like game” it doesn’t mean it’s TRYING to be dark souls it just means the gameplay is INSPIRED by dark souls so I’m happy you described it like you did Dawko

Artistically it isn't bad. Game wise it has a lot of issues. Not every indie dev can make a banger, even if the stigma of this game being a Cuphead clone is kind of shortsighted in terms of how they simultaneously added other artstyles by trading the invincibility frames and the ability to switch spells midair.

No Dawko. Not 'your bad'. The game didn't explain anything. Seriously. Not explaining the core mechanics of your game is just crappy design...you can't expect every player to faceroll their controller to figure out something that should be explained. Lol

The thing is, the designers did a great job with everything, the creatures and background designs r phenomenal, the only issue is the game devs butchered everything else

The game has serious potential just needs alot more development its highly under developed, Needs more sound effects and a better shooting sound it gets annoying after awhile, It also needs ALOT more balancing and better coding spawning enemies over RNG is so unfair and causes impossible platforming situations you can clearly tell its RNG cause enemies overlap each other constantly, Overall this game is kinda horrible and just not fun to play at all by the looks of it but as mentioned it has potential if proper development goes into it

It’s really a shame how bad this game is to play. The backgrounds and (most) the animations and characters look really nice! It would have been so much better if actual thought went into planning the level designs instead of the enemy spamming we see now.

cuphead bosses don’t have checkpoints either to be fair. this games main issue is that there is no telegraphed attacks like in cuphead, it’s just random crap flying everywhere so you can’t learn from your deaths. and i’m not trying to defend the game this game isn’t very polished lol

I mean I can't remember if I commented on Ryan's video but like yeah there needs to be a parry of any kind, and the game needs to explain the fighting controls or whatever, like. Explain them at all. And also yeah the spamming of enemies is just like. Unnecessary. There's certain points where you just can't do anything which should not be a thing. Which a parry could have easily solved that at least to an extent. And less serious things, more sounds would be nice. Pros: Looks great! Good music!

I feel like Dawko Needs a Cuphead Themed Birthday Cake

The time when you shrunk and had to fight the space cow honestly feels like fighting the boss to get nightmare balloon boy in fnaf world.

I feel like it's one of those games where the original base game is 2 player so it's not that bad, but the difficulty doesnt change if you do it on 1 player so the games like tough luck

Game, Zero tutorials, Zero hand holding, all suffering. Pretty sure "Turbo mode" is spam input mode. Insanity difficulty has ZERO checkpoints. And little to no health pickups. And you need to learn how to shield and use power mode if you want to win. Read the controls in the menu to learn them. Good luck... You're gonna need it.

What's even the point of the elemental barriers when they slow you down even further? And does the melee attack even serve any purpose outside of breaking those vines in the very first level?
