In my opinion, you can truly hear Williams' patriotism and love for his homeland shining through in poignant pieces like this one. Speaking of which, would it be possible to analyze his suite, entitled "An American Journey"? And I cannot help but love the trumpet solo in the last few measures (sounds like a beginning of a stand-alone concerto that never was). Truth be told, in all his years he's done his country a true musical honor.

Interesting that he writes that low C in the double bass at the end. String extensions must be standard among session score musicians.
