Skinner is now the king of "unofficial channels." From reinstating the X-Files, to slapping a "no smoking" sign on his desk, to wrestling some info out of Mr. X, he was the MVP in this particular episode. And that ending! Scully saved Mulder, but that smile when he starts to come around. They just so obviously adore one-another, even if they don't fully understand that.

Skinner is a beast in this episode.

The engagement between the 2 'office workers' Skinner and Mr X was epic indeed, they're scary dudes!

A great conclusion to the previous episode. We got some answers to certain things, but then some more questions also. Some tense moments in this one as well such as the Scully/Samantha swap. It was great to see Skinner stepping up in this one though, "unofficial channels" was a great line! I wish you a spoiler free comment section, and a lovely weekend.

What I love about the x files is that they have the quality of a movie. Colony and especially Endgame with that spectacular final are proving that. Amazing reaction as always Jules❤

If you thought that many things were happening in "Colony", you just had to wait to see what would happen in "Endgame" and that's why this second half of the episode is my favorite! Now we can say that there are no doubts about the love and respect that Mulder has for Scully... Imagine finding your sister (at least he thought so), the reason why you dedicated your entire life to working on the x-files , and then having to trade her for your partner... I know there was a plan, but to be honest we knew there was a good chance something could go wrong and he still took the risk, for Scully, because he couldn't bear to see her pay again the consequences of his own decisions, that's why he "ditches" her later... because Mulder's new goal in life seems to be finding the truth but protecting Scully above everything else. Thank God she persevered until she found him, and this way I think they both understood that they need each other, and they will ALWAYS both protect each other. He rescued her first and saved her life, but she saved his life later. Call it even?

This episode is such a roller-coaster (and I was confused when I first saw it). Poor Mulder was really put through the wringer in both parts! The actor who played the alien shape-shifter is terrifying! Another touching Mulder/Scully moment at the end.

Yes, my boy Skinner to the rescue! I like him a lot. And that actor who plays the shapeshifter has a great villain face. I've seen him in a couple of movies and he's good. Two great episodes, but I have one small complaint. I know Mulder misses his sister a lot, but he should have been more sceptical about his "sister" suddenly showing up. They just found several clones of a researcher, which should have been a major red flag even for Mulder. I hope nothing major has been spoiled. I usually read many of the comments here and haven't seen anything bad. It's a shame if you would have to stop reading and replying to comments. It's a great thing for many that you take your time actually replying to many comments. I have watched a couple of gaming channels who have said that they have basically delegated reading the comments to their partner, because they don't want story heavy games being spoiled for them. It's sad, but I completely understand.

One of the things that makes your reactions so fun to watch is how empathetic you are toward the characters. You know someone is truly engaged in the show when they say throngs like “I haven’t given up hope.” Not to mention J-bird made the fear of fire connection to Mulder waking in the clinic. So cool. This was a great aliens/mythology episodes. And a clear indication of how involved David Duchovny was in his part given what he contributed to this episode.

7:30 This scene is heart breaking yet wqhy I love it is because too many times these days in television shows or even movies there is a lot of exposition dump if you character speak a lot things instead of showing. This episode has the strength of with little words and how they are emoting you can tell a lot. One it shows Mulder and his Dad do not have a very close relationship maybe his Dad blames him for his sister's disapperance although since I watched further I have a better idea. Just the part where it pains him and his going in tears since it appears he is trying to gain even his approval seems not there. Which contrast with Scully in the earlier season Beyond the Sea episode. It suggests she seems to have a pretty good relationship with her father. There is an indication of some tension which I suspect is because of her choice to become an FBI agent rather than be just a Medical Doctor. But as we see they are getting to a point of respect on the issue. Whereas Mulder I am going to say his relations with his Dad seems not good. Bill Mulder seems to be a bit of a hard man.

Skinner can be a crabby pain in the butt, but sometimes he's EPIC. And this episode shows it. I love him stepping up for Mulder and Scully and fighting Mr. X. Intense!

This is a great episode! Leaves you wanting more of the alien storyline! The writing is so fantastic, and as you said, the music is so amazing. Also, skinner is so great in this episode! 'Unofficial channels...' is one of my favorite lines in the show, and I use it sometimes still. xD Boss: how did you source this car part SB? It was discontinued from the dealer 15 years ago! Goodness this was such a ride of an episode and it was the perfect partner to Colony. The reveal with the Samantha clone is a kicker and I feel for Mulder so much. The Skinner moment with X is brilliant and that end scene with Mulder and Scully makes me all emotional. Thanks for another great reaction.

End Game was a terrific episode with Alien Bounty Hunter leading on from causing mayhem in Colony the great preceding episode. These two had a great mini arc with lots of tension throughout. As with many X-Files episodes just when we think we are getting answers and 'The Truth, something else occurs which send the story off in another direction. The swap on the bridge was a great scene, and we are left still wondering what will happen. BTW Jules nice bit of trivia for you, as you have just started watching Buffy S1 E1, the strong Vampire called Luke that has Buffy at this mercy in the coffin in the final scene of that episode, is the same actor who played The Shape Shifting Alien Bounty Hunter here, Brian Thompson.

I began to watch X Files since 94 and then Millennium its brother series . I watched several times since then. They are my favorite series , you don't have an idea how that atmosphere that exudes both series made my head flying. I began to watch again X Files and I found your channel, and you know what? I watch the episode and then your reactions, that's why I'm delayed with your last X Files reactions. I already saw all the episodes . But still an amazing experience. I have a background in science , but I love ufology and conspiracies,also science fiction literature,and every episode feels like some of those sci Fi short stories that I love .

The monster (or alien) of the week episodes are fun too, but I really do love these conspiracy related ones. They always have such rich Mulder and Scully partnership scenes ❤

Last week, you mentioned the Hunter looked like the Terminator. You have mentioned things from the Terminator before, so I will go out on a limb, and assume you've seen it. The Bounty hunter actor is the first person to die, in the Terminator movie's present day - a punk in the park, ridiculing a naked man.🫣 This ending was my favorite, of this season.
