Oh my... this song reminds me of the book series "Kushiel's Legacy" and that time when Phedre needed to pass along that sea monster/keeper, she had nothing else to give that would satisfy him, so she sang him a song. Violet's story really is quite sad at times but there always seems to be a glimmer of hope. The last episode feels like hope is now stuck in a dense fog once she learned of Gilbert. While the news harms her, she doesn't understand any of the emotions going through her but refuses to accept the news of Gilbert's death when no body has been found. This music fits her story well.
