Personally my fav game devs are Mojang and Mihoyo, both amazing groups of people, they break the mold, Mihoyo legit shows game footage and no spoiler cutscenes in their ads, and then just let you decide if you wanna download, they don't ever have a "DOWNLOAD NOW!" I love how this video from Mojang literally tells the players to uninstall Minecraft and move on with their lives. @@Ajinnora "There are thousands of games out there, and this medium is only getting more exciting every year." along with "Close Minecraft, and look for new fresh experiences that entertain you in ways Minecraft never could!" both feel like a very subtle reference to Hytale, a game which takes the concepts of a voxel-based game medium and adds new exciting experiences that offer a different vibe to Minecraft. Of course, I could just be looking into this too much and it could be just a general statement that should be taken at face value. But I'd like to believe that that was the intent.

@@silvaner3826 The combat update was focusing on PvE, not PvP. The only people I've heard of thinking the new system is bad are people who like spam clicking instead of using actual strategies.

@Alexander Castilloits strategic, attack or defend? use high damage, high cooldown, or lower damge, lower cooldown? do you go full offensive mode? do you block with a shield and then attack? do you use an axe to counter shields? way more strategic than spam clicking.

That speech about quiting minecraft harkens back to the end credits sequence of the game. The 2 "gods" tell the player to get on their feet, go outside, and find some meaningful way to expand their world rather than their minecraft one. I like that little nod.

I have an idea for a chain crossbow. So the way it works is you combine a crossbow and a chain in a smithing table to get it. Functions: You can hook onto walls at the cost of durability. Right click will pull, left click will lower (fly/swim controls for mobile) and you can swing from left to right and side to side. If you hook a player/mob/entity you can right click (or shoot again on mobile) to pull it towards you or left click to let go if you were not aiming for it. I really want to see this implemented because I worked really hard figuring out how it would work.
