This was the very first song I ever tried to sing from a musical back in 2005.
I had no clue, no experience - but to be able to sing it always inspired me to keep trying.

Growing up with Steve Barton as „my“ Krolock and traveling around Stuttgart, Hamburg and Berlin , always chasing the show and comparing other singers … I must admit that you’re pretty close to Steve‘s emotional performance. I am very surprised the most positive way 😊 bravo

Hach. Wieder sehr schön gesungen, da bekomme ich gleich wieder Sehnsucht nach "Tanz der Vampire". Deine Stimme passt einfach perfekt für diesen Song. Danke für die tolle Interpretation und auch die schöne englische Version, die ich vorher noch gar nicht kannte.

Wow! Ich brauch ein Glas Wasser! Das kam unerwartet....Das war wahnsinnig gut. Ich habe Tanz der Vampire ca. 15 mal in Stuttgart gesehen mit verschiedenen Krolocks. Da waren definitiv Auftritte dabei, die sich von Deiner Emotionalität und Ausdrucksstärke eine dicke Scheibe hätten abschneiden können! Sehr sehr toll gesungen, das brachte einige Erinnerungen zurück und hatte Tränen in den Augen! Danke! 👍

@@ThomasUnmack Das ist ja wohl mehr als verständlich. Ich liebe und feiere einfach jeden deiner Cover´s. Auch deine eigenen Stücke sind einfach episch. Habe fast alle deine Alben und finde, das du viel mehr Aufmerksamkeit verdient hast, als das was du jetzt schon hast. Deine Stimme ist einfach Einzigartig und schön und muss einfach unterstützt werden!

God ... Thomas, to be honest ... there's one really big problem with your singing: you've created an endless appetite. So please be so kind to record more of such perfect performances. And don't let us wait too long for them!

woooo boy you picked a hell of a song here.... now i have loved this song since i first heard it in the early 2000s and i am a long time jim stienman fan. and steve barton was the effin man... that said you stepped into some big shoes here. and i think you did an ok job. the main issue i have is it sounds like you are doing a karaoke of steve barton. you are mostly hitting the notes and such but where is the raw emotion the feeling? i dont hear or feel it. it takes more than just getting the technical stuff right. now im not saying you are a bad singer in fact i give you props because this isnt an easy song to sing. most of jims stuff isnt. i just think you are to focused on the technical and need to really let the music and emotion flow more. i was a classical singer for 20 years so i know how hard it is and how much work goes into even one song to get it ready to perform.

Wow thanks for commenting. I must agree I am doing to much Steve here 😂 I just love him. I was recording this when my son was quite little and I was lucky to setup the camera and just do a recording with the little time. I could have put more work into my own interpretation. I’m just a self taught singer, it’s just for fun. I’m proud of this one-take anyway. 😊
