endless ocean and its sequel are what inspired me to get on the path to becoming a zoologist and marine biologist. i played these when i was 8 and now i'm in college, next quarter i'm taking a salish sea class and i'm going to be out on the ocean for 3 weeks just like in blue world. i always dreamed there'd be a remaster to switch one day, i never thought we'd actually get a sequel :,,,) this is a great day for all endless ocean fans, i almost teared up when i saw the trailer in the 10 minutes i had before i went to chemistry class

I actually cried when this was revealed. As someone who's been obsessed with the ocean and everything in it almost my entire life, Endless Ocean (in particular, the first game, I didn't pick Blue World up until much later in life unfortunately) was a game I spent countless hours playing growing up. I came home from school one day to find my mother had randomly picked it up for me since she saw "ocean" in the name and thought I'd enjoy it. I will never forget my first dive in-game, my first orca found, or my first time seeing that amazing Ancient Mother, I was blown away by it all. I actually still have that same copy of the game and my original save file still, and I tend to revisit it every now and then. I can't say I expected a revival of this series to ever happen, but am I glad it did, and I'll definitely be pre-ordering this one. This is one of those games where they may not have a super big fan base, but the fans it does make are lifelong and beyond, as the ocean herself 💙 🐬

I knew what this was the moment i heard the breathing sounds - I played Blue World so much the sound effects are ingrained in my brain. Super excited for this, and hopefully the original two games will someday come back too!

The first Endless Ocean was the reason I stopped being _extremely_ afraid of the ocean, and started absolutely loving it and became fascinated with it as a kid. It was mostly sharks that made me scared of it, but when I encountered a great white in the game for the first time, and got to read a little more about them, I learned they really weren't that scary at all, and learned just how much I didn't know about them! I played Blue World _immensely,_ put 500 hours into it! Training all the partners, finding all the coins and salvageables (seriously, why would anyone throw a super computer into the Zahhab Region Depths?!), etc.. Loved every single minute of it! These games are a core memory for me, and I absolutely *cannot* wait for this one!

Despite my best efforts, I have not been happy for a very long time and when my dad died over five years ago, I’ve felt empty and when I moved back to the UK I never got the chance to scuba dive again. But for the first time in my current lifetime, seeing this, some semblance of happiness has been returned to me and words are not enough to describe how good this feels.

Finally. I used to play this game in memory of my mother because she loved the ocean and marine life. I have both the original and the blue world

I, a 43 year old dude, just started screaming at 11:50 pm and my family was like “What!?!? What happened!?!” To which I screamed “A NEW ENDLESS OCEAN IS FINALY COMING OUT FOR THE SWITCH! AAAAAAAAAA!!!!” Both the original and sequel were my favorite games of all time. We would turn off all the lights at night and just let the blue glow fill the room like we were really there as we explored for hours and hours. When those songs hit at those perfect moments….I’m gonna tear up so I’ll stop. THANK YOU FOR THIS NINTENDO!!!!!

I have Endless Ocean 2, it's one of my childhood games. And now I think I'm gonna play it again. Though... the trailer really emphasized the gameplay and multiplayer, but it said nothing about the story and characters. The story and characters are a great aspect of this series and I hope that they won't fail in that department.

I still play with Endless Ocean on my Wii, I truly love it as I'm also a scuba diver in real life. Can't wait to play the sequel!

The first game made me actually try scuba diving in real life and developed a deep love for the sea, I stoped for quite some time due to me moving somewhere that had no coast. It was by October of last year that I went back to scuba diving, and now, here I am, barely holding my tears of excitement for how important these games were for me, I am so excited to explore the vast blue sea, in real life and on my switch.

I want a bundle with Endless Ocean 1 and 2 released on the Nintendo Switch!

I never expected there to be another one of these games, especially so many years later but I’m not complaining as they’re good and I hope this one is too

I learned that the sailboat was called the Gabbiano which means "seagull" in Italian. Hayley Westenra sang so beautifully, she is like the world's greatest "siren".

My childhood! I never expected to see a new Endless Ocean. I hope it includes some of the progression systems that Blue World had, like the treasure hunting, aquarium, jobs, etc.. But even if it's just diving, I'll still appreciate it. I don't know if I'm too thrilled about the prodcedural aspect though, since I really liked trying to fully explore and chart the locations in the early titles.

I’m so, so beyond excited for this. I’m a marine biology student who grew up with the first two games, I don’t ever get emotional for game announcements but this really got me in the feels. This looks awesome, I love the idea of unique dives and adding PREHISTORIC CREATURES (also a huge prehistory fan!). beautiful game

This is genuinely the most excited I've been for a game in a long time. I played Blue World obsessively as a child, and even again recently. It was just as good as I remembered... And now it's even better.

I am fully in awe, and in tears. I grew up playing the previous two Endless Ocean games, and they encouraged me to become an actual certified diver as soon as I was old enough. These games have inspired me in a way that most other games could never- they actually made a real, physical difference in my life. Diving is one of my greatest passions, and I owe it all to this game. I’m telling all of my friends and getting them to play, too!

I just moved into my first apartment with my girlfriend the other day and upon unpacking my Nintendo wii I immediately saw my old copy of Blue World and was immediately hit with a wave of nostalgia. I’ve been checking the online news and forums since the early 2010’s for any info on a new game and even had dreams of playing a third endless ocean game. This feels like a longtime coming and honestly made my year to see. I knew they wouldn’t forget about such an amazing game and series overall

I am not kidding when I say this is probably one of my favorite sleeper games of my childhood. I thought there was no world where Endless ocean would get a sequel, yet I find myself looking at a brand new entry after god knows how long and it looks absolutely gorgeous. Words cannot describe how happy I am right now.

I played 1 and 2 so much 12 years ago when my grandmother died. Those ganes brought me so much comfort when I was a little kid. Im so happy the series is making a comeback, it'll be a blast of nostalgia and new joy

Every day I've been checking the Endless Ocean search in both KZfaq, Google, and various social media platforms for more conversation about this game, I'm so excited and curious!

When I say this was my childhood game I MEAN it.. I recently went back to this game last summer and was hoping they'd make a new one.. I think they were listening to me.. This game series has my heart and soul in it I'm so happy to see this game get the love it deserves

I genuinely thought I was one of the only people who had such a connection to this game. But, reading the comments, I realise I was never alone. My Wii was around my nan and grandad’s house. I was so young that my grandad pretty much had to play for me, because I had no idea of subtlety when it came to moving the remote. More than a decade later and I still play it sometimes, trying to 100% it. The artifacts are terrible to find though. Completely random. But I’ll have them all eventually. They give me an excuse to swim around my baby years again.
