Improve your enduro skills the back wheel pivot! I had a sound issue using my new camera I have now added a wicked mic so sound will be better than ever!! :) Welcome to my Enduro Riding Tips Series this is EP 2 of the series, How To Do Pivot Turns. I would like to say its more of a 'How I Do It' series mainly because I will be demonstrating in the videos how and why I do the things I do on a dirt bike. Hopefully you can all learn a little from my riding style and skills! I have coached riding schools before along with another pro rider and our classes consisted of 10 riders, some our students went on to become very good riders and some of the top riders in the country! Teaching riding in the form of video on the internet is a little challenging but I am up for the task drop a comment hit the like button and let me know what you think. Lots of videos on the way! 👍🎥
I plan on covering all aspects of enduro easy stuff, medium and harder my videos are produced, edited and filmed by myself as well I am the rider! Total DIY riding! :)
Riding my KTM 300 XCW giving riding lessons and or tips, coaching dirt bike skills and just having fun!
If you feel like contributing check out my Patreon account below videos here will always be free but anyone that feels like contributing that's the best way to do so as there is lots of bonus stuff there as well not seen anywhere else!

Great videos. Great camera angles really helps me understand better as a beginner. I rode from 7-20years old. Now 43 and getting back into it. Wet muddy ruts in England are my nemesis. Keep washing my front end out. A video on these would be a great help. Thanks. Johnny

excellent step by step demonstration of the pivot turn. another application for this technique is railroad tracks. sometimes you can just jump them clean, but other times there is no approach and you are forced to "get in" and "get out"...on an angle. I use this same technique every time and watch other guys struggle!

Excellent video. As a 45 year old ex downhill rider who’s just starting enduro I’m ok with body position on the bike but it’s throttle and clutch control for things like this that I need to learn. I like how you’re not assuming I have some prior knowledge and breaking it down to the most basic steps. Gonna watch the rest of your vids now. 👍

Hey there, you asked for comments, so here it goes: 1) TELL us how it is, you are the teacher! Don't bother qualifying your statements by saying stuff like "well at least that's what I like to do..." I know, we're Canadians and don't want to sound like know-it-alls, but this is your wheelhouse man, so just say "do this if you wanna rock like me!" 2) I'm a newbie so any time you can think back to those days ans add-in little tips on how to master stuff like clutch control, not fighting the weight of the bike in low speed maneuvers, etc. please elaborate. 3) Keep it up with the multiple camera angles and slo-mo on technique replays, that helps a lot. Thanks... I'm going through the whole series!

I've always enjoyed watching you ride, you've got some serious skills. There a ton of help videos out there, some good and some bad. Yours are a bit different which is nice. I like that you are as awkward behind a camera as I am :) I know how much work goes into making a watchable video and definitely appreciate the work and time you've put into this video and others. If I might humbly suggest something to possibly make the videos better you could maybe work on your narration a bit. I struggle with narrating and have to write down and rehearse what I want to say. Some times I'l do a clip several times and just pick the best one during editing. You may even try doing the narration after the ride from the comfort of you desk and add it in during editing. That way you can keep your audio at the some amazing level as your footage. Most You Tubers have the focus of a gnat so if your content seems awkward at any time or slow they'll move on. Not that you really have to worry about any of this as you've got great material and amazing skills. Keep up the great work and good luck making this your future.
@HeddleTown
@HeddleTown 7 жыл бұрын
HaHa YES it can be awkward when you are searching for words but like I said in a recent video its all off the top of my head which is going to keep it genuine, new and fresh and also raw which is what I like I personally don't care for the narration from behind a keyboard with my videos it will be what you see is what you get! ;) I believe this will either be my key to success or not but it's how I will be doing all of them raw and on the fly! There may be times I forgot to mention a key part so I may have to narrate but rarely I hope to do this! Thanks for the input! :)

Great real life vids, thanks so much. I was wondering if you could give me a tip on how to improve on pivot turns. My main issue is once the bike is up to keep my right calf close to the frame so I can cover the rear brake. Some times works, others not. My guess is that has to do with my body position on the bike. Any tips would be appreciated

Watch my first video in this series my very first video about bikes set up Make sure the brake pedal is high enough that you can reach it when you're sitting back on the seat!

Training videos are the best :) I'm trying to get better in pivot turns, but i'm still not confident enough to put that final throttle to get vertical. * If I may suggest you, your end music is awesome, put it in the beginning as well to set the mood of the video better.

Another good training video 🙂 Question: I am currently riding only a bit off-road (w/ heavy triumph scrambler 1200XE), but would love to get into enduro riding - obviously with a smaller and dedicated dirt bike. What bike cc and type would you recommend?

Thanks for watching! I hear Triumph is in the process of making motocross and enduro bikes that should be very cool! I like the 300cc class of enduro bikes, KTM, Husqvarna and Gas Gas make some really nice bikes! There's so many to choose from just do your research!

Loving your vids... been working on these with a KLX250S and they are tough with a heavy 4 stroke... there is a bit of delay in the power which is making it hard for me to get these down with this bike. It was so much easier with my old KTM200!
