Seifer from FFVIII. **FFVIII spoilers ahead** That guy cut Squall's face in a training exercise at the beginning of the game (then got cut back), he sabotages the Dollet mission to prove his pride, abandons Balamb Garden and terrorizes the Timber broadcasting station to hold the Galbadian president hostage, then gets tempted and captured by the sorceress. You then discover Seifer's been executed, but later on it turns out he has been made the Sorceress's Knight, so now he's not just a rogue Garden student but directly working against Squall and party. He imprisons the party in the middle of the desert, launches missiles at Balamb Garden, leads a huge battle against Balamb Garden while aboard Galbadia Garden with the sorceress, pilots Lunatic Pandora to Esthar to initiate the Lunar Cry which floods the world with monsters from the moon, kills your Odin GF, and ultimately takes Rinoa hostage (whom he used to date) to feed her to Sorceress Adel in order to revive her so she can be possessed by Ultimecia. And he keeps calling Zell "chicken-wuss"!!! He does all these terrible things, and he's not even the main antagonist! That guy had it coming.

Mine was the freaking Aspect of Nightmare from Dragon Age: Inquisition. Took me 15 hours to re level up, re do my party, and save up enough to upgrade my weapons.

Handsome Jack in Borderlands 2. I recently hopped back on to one of my characters, and it started me at the Bloodwing boss fight. It turns out that I had done nearly the rest of the game with my friend on his profile, so I went from Bloodwing straight to Jack and the Warrior. It never felt so good to kill him.

Thank you, Rob! Yes! Sephiroth!!! I literally started crying in front of my entire family as they were watching me play the game. My mom was like, Jonny, are you okay? I never said a word. I killed Jenovah with tears streaming down my eyes, I saved, went to the bathroom, and sobbed. And I gained a seething hatred to this silver-haired set of polygons. Awful.

You guys really do brighten up my days. It's like watching a family just having such a good time.

My cousin has a personal "hate story" with the jaguars on GTA V. Since we were kids there's this little in-game challenges we make to ourselves, and the one on that particular day was "who could survive the most time on 5 stars". I was winning, but he was VERY close to beating my score. After driving like a madman towards the mountains to run from those SUVs with the S.W.A.T lads holding onto them (those guys are such a joy to hit with the car, on a side note), his car had its last tire blown up, and so he had to proceed on foot. In 1 minute he would win the challenge, when (to my luck) a wild jaguar approached him from behind and oneshot him to the "Wasted" screen. I remember the controller almost got thrown to the wall in frustration, and to this day if my cousin sees a jaguar on GTA V he HAS to kill them. Not for a challenge, but because he likes to think that he's making that particular one suffer imagining those are that jaguar's family members lol

Always enjoy the videos, Rob you got me into getting into Metal Gear, even though it was free this month on PSN, I decided to download it and been having a blast. It's the first one I've ever played. You guys have also inspired me on chasing platinums now. Ive been a trophie hunter since the start but now platinums are on my radar and im doing all I can to get them! Keep up the good work. The one enemy that really got under my skin, or three I should say, were Havelock, Pendleton, and Martin from Dishonored. They spend the whole game helping you find young Emily and get the people responsible for killing the empress and framing you. Only to find out, they were only using you to get real power and control over the empire. The worst thing is not knowing when they decided upon this betrayal, if they planed this from the very start that I'm just an idiot for trusting them, but if they decided to do this at some point between your escape and your rescue of Emily, then that makes it so much worse and so much more infuriating.

Mine had to be Zeus from GOW3. My GOD I never hated a character so much! He owned me for about 3 day before I beat him. I literally bashed his face in for 20 mins after the fight....so satisfying

The villain that made it personal for me, Rob & Hollie may agree, is Kefka from ffvi. Not only is he a creepy magic happy clown bent on world destruction (not even domination like a good little villain), but he poisons the water source to an entire castle killing not only the opposing soldiers but women & children including Cyan's wife & son. Now that made me want take Sabin and blitz his clown makeup off his smirking face!

We discuss Final Fantasy, but not Kefka... HE is a villain who needed killin' big time. In addition to being unbearably annoying, he engages in war-crimes, kills family members, tortures characters, commits genocide, and blows up the freakin' planet! And then he gets really bad... Sass-iroth's got nothing on him.

The 2 that got me were Kriea from KOTOR 2 and General Shepherd from MW 2. There's just something about the plost twist where a mentor/leader turns out to be the main antagonist that really makes me want to defeat them in the end.

Loghain from dragon age origins earned my hatred and wasn't it jenova in sephiroths form that killed aeris?

Imlerith from The Witcher 3. After a tough as nails boss-fight on Death-march, justice was rightfully served for a fallen friend. And Geralt's quip at the end was just chilling.

I was instantly reminded of Grandia (PS1), currently replaying it as the HD remaster. I absolutely loathed Mr. Chang, a very easy boss early on, but as a kid he troubled me and the whole setting of him as the only way to let my frustration about the events out because you can't punish his boss who is disgusting makes me grind two extra hours beforehand to this day. Fight rarely lasts longer than two minutes now.

One of mine has to be liquid from metal gear and in particular number 4! Because by this point there's so much history there the fist fight can't come quick enough! I was in awe the first time I played the end it was such an emotional battle :-)

Rob, I'm pretty sure I have that same beard comb! Don't know why I got excited by that, but I did. Also, another enemy that made it personal for me was TK from Dead Rising 2, he frames you for the zombie outbreak, that's just not ok.

Elder Tyrant/Treant! FF12. I was 9? Back then so I hated grinding mobs. Reached the jungle at all time low levels on 3 characters and in the teens in the rest. I always restarted that game then dropped it after getting to that part for ten years until I finally beat him after getting to lvl 99 pre palace. It was my first FF and cant wait for the pc vers.

Dave talking about Heavy Rain makes me sad as the game was spoiled for me on another occasion before I ever got the chance to play it and I feel like I am really missing out on one of gaming's best stories! Luckily Quantic Dream are busy with Detroit!

the one that made it personal was the 2nd boss fight with melfice from grandia 2 because he was the only boss that beaten me more than once in 10 years since from when i was 7 playing scooby doo cyber chase. also he sethirothed a girl (that was in a kind of love triangle with him the protag and her) before the start of the game.

My personal nemesis was the Black Knight at the top of the stairs in the first level of Demon's Souls. That guy killed me so many times before I managed to take him down. Now it's like no big thing, but when you're first learning the ropes that guy is *hard*.

When playing Arkham Origins, I stupidly went after the dark knight challenges. So the thorn in my side became normal enemies in predator rooms who would never get into position. I remember having to do a series of moves and one was really hard so I figured I'll save it for the last guy, 1 hour later I get to him and turns out you HAVE to interrogate him.

It is definitely Valmar from Grandia 2. Through to game you are fighting remnants of him only to fight him in the end of the game. The stories behind the remnant pieces make it personal. He is a boss that has used love, dreams, hope, righteousness, and he bent them to his needs.

The whole story about the Carp becoming the Dragon is 100% the origin of Magikarp and Gyarados too.

Lots of people are still don't realise that the first time (other than the flashback) that you see sephiroth is the start of disc 2. The Sephiroth we have been seeing is Jenova

Another good one is the Prince of Orzammar, Bhelen Aeducan from Dragon Age Origins. In the dwarf origin story he fames you for your brother's Trian death buys off the Assembly and sentenced you to death by exile to the deep roads. Bhelen then tries to usurp the throne of Orzammar after King Endrin dies. Bhelen then sends his goons after you when you return to Orzammar as a Grey Warden. In the end if Harrowmont is named king he stages a coup and tries to kill you and the Assembly.

What about Handsome Jack? Not only does he try to kill you even before the game begins, he also tries to murder everyone you know, he tortures his own daughter (who's by the way one of the most important and most helpful characters in both BL 1 and 2), and he kills Roland (PC in BL1, important NPC in 2). If there's any villain that ever made it personal, it's him.

-Is that Gollum in the background? -There's "Ambush" in Shadow of Mordor. My ultimate nemesis in there is a orc I really hate: Rhom the Rat (Immune to almost everything, Ambush, and Poison). -I'd put my personal nemesis in video games as the entire Souls Series. I like Dark Souls, but that game takes a lot out of you, and I still haven't beaten the first one. -Is our favorite, resident badger ever going to add his opinion to these lists?

The final collosus in Shadow of the Collosus. I spent so many hours exploring this forbidden land with Aggro, that when he didnt make the jump to reach the final area, I was devastated. I had been intimidated by some of the previous bosses up to this point, and the final one was pretty scary-looking, but my resolve was stronger than ever. I was going to kill the bejesus out of that giant creature. I didnt even care about Mono at this point. That bastard cost me my horse. He was going to pay...

As I am listening to all of you talk about nemesis, I had a hard time thinking of one of my own. That is until Heavy rain was mentioned. I sat up from my repose on the floor immediately filled with memory and hatred. Oooooh, so much burning hatred and betrayal.

Eredin from the Witcher 3 made it personal, so did the bots from Nier Automata

the gonfanieri made it personal in assassins creed 2 killing my father and bros

The Glinthawk of Horizon... that thing is even worse than the Thunderbird... and there is just so many of them all the time! I always set them a blaze and just watch them fall to the ground :-) Lovely.
