Meet Zola, Harmony's day-one frenemy: from satanic rituals to forming a demonic fighting alliance. Because, really, what else do you do at a sleepover?
Does anyone else have this thought-how is Harmony's mom so oblivious to everything? Maybe she knows her daughter is "gifted" and is just extremely unbothered, OR maybe we'll get all the answers in the last episode... sort of. You'll see.

I think is more of they wanted her super power and her Eldritch immortal soul, kinda like why Ludo and his goons from Star vs the Forces of Evil always antagonist towards Star in desire for her magic wand. The scout girl mistook Harmony was some demon at first only they work together she realizes Harmony is not evil just misunderstood, if this were a long episode it would make sense of their first meet up and friendship.

I just realized that Furgil froze when Mom and Zola entered, meaning Harmony's mom just walked in on her daughter playing a board game with a stuffed animal. So yeah, makes sense she doesn't even question this girl who claims to be Harmony's friend when, as far as she's concerned, her daughter desperately needs one.

Funny enough in the studio bio for Harmony character she somewhat evil due to her curse power and really don’t want to be a hero and only doing it out of circumstances, the only few thing keeping her from being consume into the abyss is her mother love and her teddy bear.

I think that because Zola didn't know Harmony disliked her power and thought a demon was possession Harmony and this episode is a trope of misunderstood nemesis turn friend. Hilariously Zola was described by the creator as the real hero of the show while Harmony is more reluctant hero.

I don’t know much about her personality though she seems to be brash in her judgements and capable of false pretense, traits that would usually fit an antagonist. Though, this is her debut episode, so I guess she might change later on?

@@13sinra13 Well the Studio main page called makevisual described Zola if she were in any other show or Disney show she would be the hero and she willingly destroy Harmony for the sake of Mankind, she study heavily into occult magic and dark ritual to combat it better, so yeah Zola is a hero somehow stuck in a world that so dark in their perspective that she had to stay on guard at all time, and that’s why her behaviour near antagonistic towards Harmony because she aren’t sure if Harmony friend or foe, and in the world of House of the Outlands paranoia could be a norm for Zola.

Gotta say - the economy of storytelling in these is incredible! You tell a whole story with set up, conflict and resolution in just a minute, and keep it interesting every time. Not a lot of people realise how hard that is haha.

Plus the main villain is a vast tentacled being and I think it's called Tsathoggua which is a cthulhu mythos name. The dimension hopping talking rat from the previous episode reminds me of brown Jenkins form the story Dreams in the witch house (by Lovecraft) Oh and around 0:32 there is a Cthulhu badge elder sign badge, Miskatonic and Arkham badges, also Necronomicon
