@@kyakeshavarz3595: It's like with Baby DVa; in the hands of a skilled player, and especially if the enemy are unprepared, she can cause quite a bit of damage. They both do just under 100 dps, - just under 200 dps if you crit. Since it's a projectile, there is no damage fall-off. Meaning that if your aim is good enough, or if you get a drop on someone like a Widow, it's very possible to delete a squishy in a matter of seconds.

Let me tell you a story. It's mid match in hanamura on the last point. I'm on defense on the high ground patrolling. I see a widow pop through the window nearest to the cliff. She sees me all the way on the opposite room.... I stand completely still wondering to my self... "She's not about to do what I think she is is she?" *widowmaker takes aim* *I stare straight at her hoping she isnt dumb...cause IDK what was going throught that head of their.* *widow fires with a free headshot* *I close my eyes, sigh, and head straight for her while simultaneously taking a breather while she sits there trying to kill me with her scoped shots and you can take a guess at the outcome....was around 500 hp* So that brings my question....is a widows job to take care of a close roadhog or something? Are they supposed to win in a mono y mono scenario? Cause this honestly kinda ticks me off at how common an occurance these kind of scenarios are. I'm a close combat specializing hero thats engaging on the widow and they don't try to run for their lives and stand there with that dumb scope up meanwhile I literally just want to stop shooting at them and walk away cause I'm like "You are literally dying, why are you still here? Atleast use your freaking machine gun" (Yes they have their grapple whenever I attack) but no they try to scope in instead. I dislike the rare occasion where I get hit my a hanzo arrow when I'm a 200hp hero and the widow gets the up close snipe kill cause I feel after they get the kill, they reassure themselves that thats a good tactic. I dislike playing against people who are bad and don't provide atleast some challenge. So to anyone that is somehow having trouble with this close sniping stationary widow, I will give you this 100% full proof strategy that will never fail: *Move in a single direction around them.* that's it. That's how you counter this "tactic" if you wanna call it that. Don't bother changing direction cause that will actually probably get you killed if they'd manage to line it up at head height before hand and is a widow that often lands their long distance shots. Now to people who don't know how to counter the good widows *who know when to freaking run or use their machine gun* and are always getting head shots on you...there is one super complicated technique that may take you years to master. This technique has been passed down from generations since the dawn of time. No matter how good their accuracy is they are garanteed to end up with a drastically lowered accuracy. Are you ready to learn this technique? Here it is, if you know a widow is aiming for you and you see her, then here is what you do: Step 1: look at widow Step 2: make a rude hand gesture Step 3: *press crouch button* *if you have mcree* Step 4: kill her...unless your aim sucks...then either get out of line of sight or go for her. You don't have to spam the crouch button, just intermediatly press it as you make your way closer to her or to cover. If I knew how to post clips I would. It is comical how much it messes up their aim. What not to do against a good widow: *-do not spam jump* an occasional jump is fine but you are most likely gonna get headshot by a good aimed widow because you can't stop yourself and could easily end up falling into her crosshair, I'd say looking at her and strafing to your destination is better than jumping* Perfectly ok to jump spam against projectile users as long as it doesn't mess up your aim (except hanzo). Last thing I wanna say is for moiras...if a genji so much as sets foot on your end of the field, kill him. If you know his team isn't close enough to help him, use your phase and chase that joker down if he tries to run. That is the fine print of picking moira, you are *obligated* to go after attacking genjis if no one is below yellow hp. Literally only 2% of genjis know how to counter moira. You know it is over when their instincts make them try to deflect your beam. I repeat if they attack and significantly do damage to your team, you have no right to get upset at anyone for not killing the genji because you are the main genji slayer of the game, no one does it better than you....unless you threw ur damage orb *directly* at his deflect ....then you deserve whatever happens next (literally the only way he should deflect that is by accident, the deflect hitbox on your orbs is tiny). And since I am tired of typing now this will be the last tip. If you are moira and these conditions are met: 1. A phara is annoying and damaging your team 2. It is not a pharmercy 3. No one one your team is countering her, your counter has bad aim or having an off day, or they are straight up ignoring the phara. 4. You have no main tank to mitigate damage, or your main tank can't deal with the phara rockets because they are protecting you guys from the ground threats. Stop healing. Even if they instantly get mad and threaten to report you. Stop burst healing, healing through her rockets with no shield is a suicidal move that will make you lose the war (throw your heal orb if you have it though, that should substain them while you do this next action) . Look up in the sky and attack the phara. 8/10 times you will win. Even if there are enemies around, ignore them cause they will 9/10 not even target you one bit as ur attacking their phara (unless you were already down to 3 or 2 people left standing already, in which case you should've took her down sooner). As moira you are perfect for taking down pharas and genjis. When those 2 specific heros are around, you are permitted to stop healing prioritizing healing and attack those jokers (damage orb for genji, heal orb for your teamates against phara) *NEVER GO AFTER PHARA ON ILLIOS LIGHTHOUSE* (unless ofcourse she is like 1 hp) that is one of the few exceptions to the fine print.

Phara may target you specifically if you keep killing them though, that anger could become an issue cause they may start hiding so they can sneak attack you before ulting on your team.

Reaper is the one person I can consistently hs with chain hook combo,I've made a few reapers rage quit before

I can believe it. A good Roadhog that consistently hits his hooks can be a major pain. "Omg, you're his direct counter! Stop whining and 2 shot his ass!" *shudders* Some people do not understand. Most Roadhogs are not a problem ...but I know better. I remember.

As a Hog main, reaper only counters Hog if his team are with him, 9/10 times I can still crap on the reaper pick because they think Reaper > Hog is in the lore or something. Unless they actually main reaper the Shoot, hook and shoot combo will ruin most reaper players.

​@ANTEIMalreal CENER Deeepr Not that much, I've played against reaper mains with more hours on the character then I have in the whole game and they still cant really stand a chance, once you damage a reaper with an initial shot, a hook combo will finish them and they usually cant dodge hook with wraith because they are always so up close. Not to mention Hog counters Death Blossom so hard. If you ask me who would win, a good Reaper main or a good Hog main with the same amount of hours, Hog wins unless they are both low level players as reaper is more forgiving at lower ranks. If you aren't getting hooked while in a hogs face you are actually versing bots lmao.

Just hit crouch as soon as the hook ends. A lot of Rawdogs A.) Don’t reload fully before hooking, and B.) Aim for the head right after hooking. I’d say 50-60% of the time you’ll duck right under their follow up shot.
