Slightly better solar input since it can take 12v panels without issues, also 900 watts max vs 700 watts, screen also turns off to save power which is a nice touch.

This is either a Bluetti EB200P knockoff or their minor reconfiguration of it as only the right and left panels have swapped places. The specs and rest of the features are exactly the same, even the price on Amazon is the same. I'd take the Bluetti nameplate over Energizer.

There are a few differences being the PPS2000 can take either 12v or 36v+ solar panels without issues, the AC200P doesn't take 12v solar panels. The AC200p only charges at 700 watts, this can hit 900 watts via solar. The screen timeout is nice on this one, the AC200p screen is on 100% of the time. I'll have to do a comparison video on both of them soon.

By far the most thorough testing of any reviewer. As interesting side not, the AC inverter parasitic loses factor into the overall capacity test. If you run the inverter at rated output until the battery is depleted, you may be able to get a max capacity value that doesn't suffer as much of the parasitic losses of the inverter. Good, large AC pure sine inverters are not known for their efficiency. The best i have seen is the SMA Sunny Island 5KW inverter, which is 97% efficient and can idle with no load of 4 watts, but it costs about twice as much as this power station.
@Jasonoid
@Jasonoid 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks John, that's impressive efficiency... 4 watts! That would be awesome! I try to keep these tests realistic so that if you had a measured load that was going to pull 500 watts, you'd know pretty well how long it would last on this power station. Some of that capacity is for sure wasted by parasitic drain. I would have liked to see more capacity in this model since it's rated at 2150wh but didn't get near that number.

Server rack batteries can range from $1400 to $1800 for 100 AH 48 V (i.e. 5KWh) which would be a MASSIVE and more affordable expansion pack to a Solar Generator like the Bluetti than any of the additional batteries Bluetti sells.

You need quite a bit more amps to jump start your car, so that output wouldn't work for that. It also isn't a good idea to connect the output of the bluetti to your car battery directly. I went back and watched your AC200p review. Really who's going to buy a Ac200p and try and charge it with 1 12 volt panel. It can handle up to 145 VOC. That's a non issue. I over panel with 900 watts with 3 300w panels.

I am no longer interested in these “all in one units” after having gone through 2 failed and bricked Bluetti EB-55’s. Not even to mention the inflated cost. All features aside, RELIABILITY is the #1 most important thing with power storage and conversion. How RELIABLE is this thing? Needs more long term testing done and unfortunately this requires time. Building a system 1 component at a time is the only way to guarantee that you can repair a failed component without having to ship an entire power station back for a potential refund.
@Jasonoid
@Jasonoid 2 жыл бұрын
That's the huge benefit of a DIY setup. If you can put a system together you can save money and repair a component by yourself!

I agree, reliability is the most important thing buyers desire from solar generators or any generators which a majority of these solar generators have many issues that are rarely fixed and many buyer reviews reveal units after a year or two of updates will still fail with little use... so these two highlighted problems are huge reasons why it's ridiculous these solar generators are priced so high. If SHTF and one's solar generator quickly fail, then one is putting their family in a huge risk of being harmed or not surviving especially if one has family members who need solar generator to power their medical devices. DIY solar system are better but the biggest con is that one will have difficulty moving the parts if one's house is compromised and one has to quickly leave.

@@rebellucy6200 Jackery are probably the most reliable portable solar generators available but their batteres do not last long, they're overpriced, takes longer to charge with solar panels compared to other solar generators, and their proprietary solar charge inputs are annoying because it makes it difficult to use any random solar panels to charge the unit.
