I also feel the almonds and cashews could be half broken and also I feel we could add half oats powder and half whole roasted oats for that extra crunch and if you want to make it crunchier add a handful of rice crispies as well . Also see if it works well for you if you can also add anjeer( dried figs) . It'll make the binding better. About 10 pieces of anjeer along with the dates in the mixie I love the crackle the seeds of the figs make in the mouth

@@snowrain4127 Per bar I'm doing: 40 grams oats; 10 grams hemp protein powder; 20 grams any nuts; 5 grams cacao powder; 20 grams dates (plus the soaked water to bind it all as in the recipe above ). 16 grams of protein, 374 calories per bar is the yield. I haven't done them yet but will let you know once I try. But your recipe may vary from mine, ergo the sweetness level could also fluctuate. Fingers crossed my first batch turns out decent if not then back to the drawing board hehe.

For people saying the nuts are expensive: Use sunflower and or pumpkin seeds instead. There will be other seeds you can use too. They are high in protein and energy and micro nutrients. Toast the seeds in a lightly greased frying pan to make them taste nutty.
