Hoowee that winners match was crazy. I was thinking to myself "man Hero is really outplaying Gumi" but then a Warp Prism exploded and Hero got decapitated in less than 10 seconds.

He throws leads like this sometimes. In addition to losing Prisms, he puts his buildings in the worst places. Gumiho easily sniped a Robo and the Robo Bay too. Sometimes Hero is his own worst enemy. 😞

@@ZCasavant I mean I think he would have bringed it all together if he didn't lose the Prism with the Templars. Good on Gumi to pounce like he did, he really seized the initiative there. That "Gateway-Man" style is probably very hard to play, but he was really ahead for a long time, even though Gumi saw the gold being taken.

@wolvie90 Yeah it is very tough to play, and nobody can do if like Hero can. He makes if work way longer than it should. He just tends to fall apart on defense a bit, and makes questionable decisions sometimes. He's still arguably the best current Protoss in the world.

@@blaekman agreed! But he should find some more sings to say apart from "pedal to the metal" and "going for jugular". I mean there are different ways to say the same thing, you don't have to repeat the same phrase from game to game. But State certainly improved very much. I wasn't sure how it is going to work pout without Artosis, but it works just fine.

State talks over tasteless quite a bit. Like at 2:05:25. It's a bit like... ah... Or maybe that talk over each other? Idk. Feels funny tho. I think State talks a lot and Tasteless feels like he has to interrupt to get a word in? Or okay at 2:13:30 Tastosis is cracking up and clearly wants to say something, but State just keeps talking D: ... or at 3:18:40. Like .. ask what BB is? converse with your co-caster. Just awkward... But I like the Stateless cast anyways

Game two gumiho vs hero, gumiho also had a 31 bio upgrade edge over Protoss 11 (working on 12). Single forge upgrade was a mistake when playing swarm style.

1:33:00 thats exactly what happened when charge was first introduced. They would run up to the running marine but wont hit them. Later on it was added that charglots will always hit atleast once. I lived through that chase, I couldnt believe what i was watching.

that classic vs hero game proved artosis right on one of the points i recently heard him make , that the immortal is such a critical unit for protos that having 2 is not twice as good as having only 1 , it's much better than just being twice as good

This is why P never wins tournaments. The best Pv(t,z) is never the best PvP. We’ve seen this story so many times. Hopefully classics win is worth it and he doesnt just get knocked out next match.

I don't think I ever see mech lose in TvZ unless the terran messes up big time. Remember when maru 3-0'd reynor in a finals with ghost mech and then decided to not go mech for the rest of the series and got reverse swept? I genuinely think mech is the best way to play tvz.

I've seen it very often falling apart with infestors using mind control, or with vipers making blinding clouds. Happened quite a lot in GSL. Mech is slow and that's a downside of it.

@@d4slaimless it's definitely slow, but I feel like as long as the terran scans, infestors can't really get close. Blinding cloud is really good, but I think a good terran will always EMP them before they can get close.

@@Lingboysc2 ghost + mech is not often used combination as mech is very gas intensive. And I am just answering to our comment: I've seen mech winning and same I seen it loosing. Gumiho uses the mech most often among other Korean terrans. And he lost quite a lot of games with it. There is also this thing that mech works in numbers. You need to gather some critical mass of units. I can't recall certain games as I've seen loads of them (was bing watching GSL seasons during covid). I'm just telling that it was done and I certainly seen those games. I think the mobility of the bio is the reason most terrans prefer to go for it against zerg.

Having all your Templar loaded in one Prism is a huge risk. So is having key tech structures in front at exposed locations. After sniping the Prism, Gumiho was able to kill a Robo and deny Colossus range with that push, which sealed the deal. You can't blame everything on race... decisions are a major factor here.

4:03 good point but i honestly wouldn't compare Maru to Flash. Flash is way up ahead in his league. Maru maybe the best terran player but he always has a kryptonite (Dark or Serral)

I want a trade between Terran and Protoss. The widow mine against the disruptor. Blizzard (rip) kept nerfing the disruptor and just buffed the mine. Toss could use that upgrade where both units are very similar in trying to get a lucky shot in to win. The disruptor gets all the hate while the mine costs ridiculously cheaper, hits both air and ground, can become invisible and can be pumped 2 at a time. Mines fields are such a pain to clear and even if you clear one efficiently, you wasted too much time that would have been better spent harrassing, attacking or defending. Also, what is a failed widow mine harrass? the defender sacrifice a worker so the attacker basically traded somewhat efficiently resources and that is the worst scenario. If it hits more it's GG. It makes no sense when they just nerfed banelings against decimating worker lines too easily. Terrans should agree. They hate the disruptor so much they'd be happy to be able to use it.

I agree that that Mines are ridiculous, but I'd rather not give Terrans Disruptors, personally. They'd do more damage to you than you can do to them with Mines. There's a reason you don't see Mines much in TvT.

a mine is worth more than a worker specialy against toss because they have chrono, also disruptors are fine they do full damage on the splash and recharge faster, and they are not suposed to be used ofensively, the supply cost is crazy tho

you know emp is a well designed ability when every caster in the game can dump its entire energy pool before emp goes off and if you do get hit by an emp it does take enough energy off to matter, on a unit that cant be microed with your army that needs to stim and run from everything in the game... because terrans are designed to fight terrans
