It's true, attempting to stay awake instead of attempting to sleep can make sleep easier. In psychotherapy, it's a concept known as "paradoxical intention" and is used to help with anxiety disorders as well as insomnia. By trying to stay awake, a person reduces their anxiety about not being able to sleep, and without that anxiety it's then easier to sleep.

Hi Rang! This is your second vid that I watched! As someone who suffers from extremely severe/refractory (treatment-resistant) psychiatric illness and one of the most difficult cases out there, I can daresay that your ASMR vids are one of the best out there! I find them extremely helpful in relaxing and grounding myself and coping with crisis! Ty so much!! Can't express enough how grateful I am! You are such a beautiful, lovely, wonderful, and kind young woman!! Just like Taeyeon herself!! You actually kinda remind me of the love of my life lol. Anyways, I wanted to say that unfortunately, as helpful as these vids are, they seem to only be able to get me by temporarily. And that's because my situation currently has become unimaginably insurmountable. Very soon all my coping mechanisms will be exhausted. I'm telling you all of this because I wanna get my story out there, as the situation couldn't be more dire. I hope you can at least try to understand and appreciate where I'm coming from. However, with the limited remaining time I have left, I will continue to passionately support ASMR channels like yours that promote mental health and mental well-being 😉☺😊😛😄😀😃.
