In this case they’re perfectly qualified teachers, since based on the chinese trainees skills here, they’re definitely not as advanced (the moves are simpler and less complicated) Chengxiao and pinky have been trained more strictly in Korea and can bring their experience over. If they were to be trainers in a a Korean show then only would I say they’re not “good enough” since Korea is way more competitive and there’d be more qualified trainers

Dani ii um cpop is just as good and if not better in terms of actual talent then kpop, cheng xiaos company is a Chinese company and she was trained in YUEHUA and they have produced some of the most talent kpop and cpop groups like uniq wjsn nex7 and everglow. These Chinese trainees especially in season 1 have definateky displayed more then enough skill to be more talented then many kpop trainees and a lot of them debuted before in Korea or trained in companies like sm? Stop looking down on cpop just cause they aren’t desperate to be accepted into the western world and they don’t promote globally DOESNT make them any less talented. Talent DOESNT depend on the country your trained in. On Chinese survival shows it’s not as strict because there’s no evil editing to deceive you but I garentee these trainees are much better then half in produce shows without the need of editing. For godsake zeren has been dancing popping for 11 years and zhengting has been dancing traditional Chinese dance and contemporary for many years as well when nowdays no kpop idols in this gen even have much actual dance experience.

I mean i guess on the surface sure, they were both scolded. But you can clearly tell that she knows what dilemmas and kind of headspace the center guy was in. She said he can do it, he just needs to work harder. And she then provided tips and advice as to ways to improve. She scolded him by providing him with the kind of ideas and concepts she deliberated when she was told the exact same thing. Pinky is a sincere and genuine girl. Remember how she helped Sohye on the Full Moon performance along with Chaeyeon much like Sejeong helped Sohye with Irony.

The coaches in Produce 101 were far stricter and harsher. They told her she can't fit the center and demanded a change right away. Jiequong did criticise the center here but she did give him some encouragements and tips to do better, not roasting him on how he is lacking. Her methods were more understanding. To this day I still don't understand what were PD 101's coaches were thinking, the new center made a mistake on live performance

Well Pinky is way better center than Somi. Somi just want attention that why she won first on purpose. Somi cant sing or dance at all. Somi is overrated flower snake. Produce 101 love to critized Chinese, Japanese and other asian artist than their own race such as Korean. Korean just be Korean meaning they care about their own race then other race. That is why Korean always go for white, black and hispanic more than other asian culture. Yes I am saying Korean is more stricter to Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese and other asian because they are not Korean. It was probably cheating Korean voting manipulation system that got Somi to wins first place. That explains it.

@@khairunira9353 More like mnet won her first place on purpose. She got a lot of screentime and they always made clear that Somi had such a "hard" time. Like the first episodes where she's crying about how terrible it is for her. Either she's very whiny and doesn't think about others at all or mnet told her to cry for a bit so they could make that story arc for her (which is much more likely because former jyp trainees said that she had many friends among the trainees) Mnet knew that a jyp trainee would give their group's a lot of attention so they made her center but it played out well for both them and the girls so there's that :)

Guys, stop hating on chenxiao and jieqiong. Even though they are quite young, but they are very experienced. Look at the professional advices that they gave to the trainees(look at other episodes)! They must have been chosen as teachers for a reason.

It is all about experience. Chengxiao has been exposed to traditional Chinese folk dances for a decade before shifting to contemporary ones

Yeah, Jiequong was a trainee for like 8 years and Cheng xiao learned folk dance ever since she was a small child.

when jieqong said so u just let him be centre cos he wanted to it reminded of when that happened in produce 101 season 1 kinda reminded me of her as well when she became centre for full moon the coach didnt acknowledge her but now shes the coach hahah

Jieqong was best option to be centre of full moon. Sohye didn't want to become centre since she's so inexperienced and Chaeyeon isn't a better dancer than Jieqong, but Chaeyeon had more stage presence, plus it was right after her ending pose blew up the judges were subconsciously focusing on her more than Jieqong.

it's so weird seeing them as trainers not because they arent good enough but because they are so young, when they were giving feedback to the trainees it really felt like a friend-on-friend conversation aka much different than what you are used to seeing in a survival show

i notice how the mentors are so much polite, so much more forgiving and helpful, on the other hand in korean shows, they are always kinda in a rush, always making faces, yelling, not being pleased and stuffs

Compare them to Blackpink Lisa there's a big difference she was really rude and sounded arrogant when talking to the poor trainees so they ended up feeling more stressful and scared I literally was shocked when she kept glaring at that poor trainee asking her " didn't I tell you to smile ? Why didn't you smile!!" Omg wtf she obviously can't smile if you are glaring at her like that I'm surprised that they didn't delete that scene

@@sunflowersandroses2521 oh pls. Lisa started dancing since 2009, if anything, she has experience in dancing. Lisa wasnt being rude, the trainees are not there to slack, they need pressure and face challenges before they can become successful idol. If there is no strictness, they won't be where they are now. She only says that so the trainees can push themselves , she has said that in a few episodes back. I have many strict teachers back when I was younger, so I would really push myself in order to meet expectations and I have always had positive results. But now as I am older, the teachers dont even care anymore, they dont scold me when I make mistakes. They just let me slack around, and honestly I really cant find my path now. Thats just life, you need to have a balance of strictness in life in order to succeed. Just like that, Lisa isn't rude, she just hopes the trainees can push themselves more so that they can get to where they want to be.

Since I’m currently watching youth 2 with Lisa I actually really wanna see her mentoring the boys even though this girls are really good mentors there quite serious and are giving the trainees good tips I still secretly wish Lisa mentor them or gets to do it in the future I think she would be excellent 🙌🏻💪🏻👏🏻😊

i watched some videos of youth 2 lisa coaching the girls and stumbled on this thanks to yt algorithm but you can clearly see chengxiao and kyulkyng are much better mentors than lisa, not only is it bc of language barrier i feel like she doesn't want to get to know and bond with the trainees

I still couldn't see why they are better tho. You can tell some guys didn't take the practice seriously (from other clips) and their progress was slow. What Lisa did can help trainees reach their full potential faster (even if some have to cry along the way). Lisa is risking her reputation for their own good and I respect her for that.

I don't think you can say that the two are better mentors than lisa tho. You're like saying they are better because you think lisa is not trying to get to know the trainees or bond with them but I tell you, Lisa is doing a really good job as a mentor. She didn't go there to just 'try and get close' with the trainees. She's there to make them better. And if I may add, you don't know how they interact if there's no camera. The show is just showing how Lisa mentors the trainees, and if you watch the show (not just a few clips on yt), I don't think you'll make the same comment.

Well, you see, this was Idol producer. This was the beginning of this kind of format in China. In many ways, it still was an experiment. It was by far more relaxed, no one knew if the program would succeed so the trainees had a lot less pressure (at least on the beginning) and very little things were scripted. Now, it's different. Stakes are very high now, and I do believe Lisa was told by the producer to go ahead and be strict. Doesn't mean she is faking, she cares about the stage and is being jenuine, but the program needs some drama. In idol producer there was none of that, mentors, trainees, everyone was so friendly. That's why I liked it. But the performances weren't the best per se Idk if I was clear, English is not my first language

To be honest I expected more when they were dance trainers but all the advice they gave was generic and the things they pointed out was something anyone could see. Keeping in mind I’m comparing it to Lisa who took notice of the details in the trainees dancing. I feel like their calm friendly approach is what made the male traines start to get lazy whereas when Lisa made it a point to show how strict she is it made the trainees put in the effort.

Lmao. Being an Idol is not the issue here. They are there for being the Mentor and Xiao is dancing for almost 10 years of her life additional to that her Trainee days and now you'll commenting telling that they don't have an experience? I don't think so.

Lols, Cheng Xiao grew up dancing. They're kpop idols, basically they experienced intense trainings. Plus even though they're still rookie at that time, these boys were not even in their level.

So glad Lisa has been the dance instructor/judge the past couple seasons. She alone has more expertise and finesse in dancing compared to cheng xiao and jieqiong combined.

Cheng studied in Shenzhen Art School, and graduated from School of Performing Arts Seoul in 2016, where she studied under the Department of Practical Dance

@@gataagavvagagataga1530 I followed wjsn religiously, Cheng xiao's education does not necessarily translate into being a good mentor in idol producer. I found Lisa's expertise, particularly in bboy dancing, significantly more abundant than Cheng xiao's mentoring skills.
