This is Xiao Zhan's first time in theatre performance. Theatre acting is the most difficult acting role since it is live with live audience. This play ADLAD is more than 8 hours long, has thousands of pages script, no NGs or retakes. I really admire Xiao Zhan for his hard work, dedication, passion, and his professionalism towards his goals/dreams. I love him so much.

@@osakarose5612 yeah, it is very difficult and as the main lead role he has most of the lines. As far as I know the first part is for 4 hours, then there will be a short break and then it will continue with another 4 hours (part 2). It's amazing for the audience to watch it, but also exhausting to sit for so long. So just imagine how hard and exhausting it must be for the actors to act for so many hours, to stay in their roles without doing any mistakes. Besides, it is not only one of the best and most difficult and well-known script, but the way they perform everything makes this stage drama very special. You have maybe noticed that the actors often walk in circles. That's because, the stage is built around the audience (not everyone can sit there, because the seats are limited), which means a part of the audience sits in the middle, while the actors constantly walk around them and many different scenes are happening aswell. So, they can kind of choose what they want to watch or focus on. Of course, they will be a main scene, but there are so many different scenes and things happening with many characters, but everything is still connected, which makes this stage drama one of the best of the best.

I am waiting to see what Will theatre actor Zhan Zhan do when he gets a good script for his tv shows. He was already developing a good sense and now with this experience...what will he do. I am excited. These days a lot of heartaches are there for me but when I watch him I feel no it wasn’t just a phase I love him so much and it is such a blessing to be able to follow him. To think we lost him almost...that we wouldn’t be able to...I am happy he is with us and gets to share his art. I am proud of him and I want to see how much he keeps improving. All the people who doubted him can now go and look in the mirror.

It is nice to see a glimpse of the hardwork that goes behind the scene in A Dream Like A Dream. Theatre is hard in that you act in front of a live audience and there is no retake, so lots of practice is required. I think that doing theater is much more difficult than TV, because on TV you can redo the scene, edit, etc., on stage you can't redo a scene, everything is live and you can't make mistakes. I think that this is proof for the critics that he has no talent and that he is just another traffic artist with a pretty face.

Processing of emotions is truly the hardest in a stage play because it is directly displayed at the moment..this is an excellent exposure for our dear XZ.. so proud of him.. hoping that one day.. a stage play project with him as the lead could be shared internationally.. in Broadway perhaps??? This documentary is so moving. Even without understanding what they are saying, the power of emotions is overwhelming. You can see the passion, the joy and the hard work of everybody involved, not just the actors. This environment is so good for Xiao Zhan. He really looks happy and understood, in his element. Thank you for this video cos without it I think many people, myself included, wouldn't know how much hard work and dedication all members of ADLAD, especially Xiao Zhan since this was his first work in theater, how much they invested in the process so that we could enjoy in final product.
