I need to stop commenting mid video lol. Technically jessi is american. Alot of shows she is in like your TV reality shows she explains she is from New York and is still getting used to korean culture. She has been in music for many many years but traveling between america and korea to finish school when she debuted. Her friend tiffany from girls generation who is also from america (tiffany is from california) and her became best friend in highschool. Jessi started giving up in music because while still performing music she was not getting the recognition = to the time and 10 yrs with no recognition is a long time so she quit for a while and went back home to new york. She came back to korea after tiffany debuted and girls gen blew up and almost broke down because she was proud of tiffany. After meeting with tiffany she decided to join unpretty rapstar as a last attempt and she did so well that she felt encouraged to make a comeback. That was years ago and as a fan I am so proud of her and I can relate (tho I am not traveling between countries) I can relate to her losing her passion when it looks like you will never truly make it. After she came back her popularity rose up to a good size. Alot of her raps have so much englis because she has trouble with korean and her words translate better in english. She can also sing too. When the song don't make me cry came out I wanted to cry 😭. Plus Jessi, tiffany, and Jay park are from america along with alot of other super popular k pop stars, n k rappers some are not even fully korean but I still see them as k artist because they are artist in korea and their sound is like k sound even tho jay and jessi sound very american and it shows. You guys should prob do more reasearch in where they are from lol ngl. T.T I love jessi tho. Plus she acts the way she does because she is from new york. Like cardi and nikki and alot of musicians. She acts hella New Yorker too lol. Being from LA this may sound surprising coming from me, but New Yorkers are the most hyper aggressive personalities in america. Very fun personalities for alot no doubt but very expressive and in your face. She talked about her boob job on a show there in korea and everyone who was not used to her in stage looked shocked and she did not care lol. She is wild and I love it.

Remember, she was born in NY and grew up in New Jersey. She's raw because the environment she lived in is raw. She know how to turn on that east coast beast mode.

Jessi is the baddest B in the industry right now. I love everything about her, she is real and raw, can sing, rap, has beautiful skin tone, great body, face! I love her! She's killin' it!!!

Jessi was born and raised in NY/NJ, THAT is why she has the sound and prowess she does in music. It's why she sounds so authentic and reminds you guys of people like NIcki Minaj or Cardi B - both of who are from New York and have that same NY sound, especially Nicki Minaj. I think Jessi is honestly in a league of her own in South Korea because of this, it'll be hard for other female rappers in S. Korea to sound as authentic as her because their influences growing up will not be as authentic to hip-hop's roots as Jessis were.

Jessi is an Korean American in my eyes the culture helped to raise her and she took all that swag to Korea to show y'all what real hip hop is from the the people that invented it I've watched a couple of shows with Korean rappers and found a lot of it cringe worthy as far as show casing actual rap skills I've seen one other female that gave me authentic swag like jessi and she was referred to as being too cocky 😂 but she was actually better than everyone judging her LEE MICHELLE is that bitch and she's waisted in Korea but I'm a huge fan of jessi she's like one of us so she gets those props and culturally speaking I recognize that your country is conservative and most of your rappers won't be able to come oversee and rep since you all have to water it way down but I enjoyed your reaction 🙌🏾✌🏾️
