I prefer the IPS system. Yes, it might be a bit slower than the surface drives but it opens up owning a Pershing to new customers. I once saw a pershing (with surface drives) in the 60 feet range piloted by a private owner and his friends. And even though he was decently skilled, you could feel the tension on board trying to dock the yacht.

300 nm range with the volvo's engines,36 kn top speed and 31kn cruising speed.With CAT engines the range is 280nm with a top speed of 42 kn and a cruising speed of 38kn.

The volvo engine boat starts at about 770.000 and the CAT engine at about 850.000

Wrong price by a couple 100 thousands. 1.2 with IPS or 1.4 EURO millions with surface drives ex tax and optionals.

didn't like the IPS system on a Pershing. What was supposed to give the thrill of navegating on a pershing now becomes just any boat. Max speed 35mph on a pershing? No, thanks.

Can you imagine the disappointment on your guests faces when they finally climb aboard your Pershing only to discover you have POD drives. Not for me.....a Pershing should always have Surface Drives. The prop spray or rooster tail is part of the entertainment and DNA of a Pershing.
